What’s Wrong With Tucker Kraft? Can He Rebound?

Tucker Kraft

Packers Top Weapon Struggling To Regain Form

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft is still searching for the form that made him one of the most productive tight ends in football last year.

Kraft opened the season with three catches for 65 yards against Minnesota, a solid return in his first game back from the torn ACL that ended his 2025 season in Week 9. Hours before that game, he signed a four-year, $75 million contract extension. Since then, his production has dipped. He caught two passes for 15 yards against the Jets in Week 2 and four of eight targets for 26 yards in last week’s loss to Atlanta. Through three games, he has nine catches for 106 yards and no touchdowns, which leaves him outside the top 25 tight ends in Fantasy scoring.

Workload has not been the problem. The Packers planned to limit Kraft to about 40 snaps in the opener, but he played 45, and he has handled a 79% snap share across the first three games. His route participation reached 76% in Week 3. He has drawn 17 targets, a healthy total for the position.

The issue has been turning those targets into production. Kraft and quarterback Jordan Love have connected on just 52.9% of his targets. Love has struggled across the board, completing 52.4% of his passes this season behind an offensive line that has struggled to protect him. Kraft has contributed to the problem as well. He dropped two passes in the loss to Atlanta, after recording three drops in eight games last season.

The big plays after the catch have also been missing. Kraft averaged 10.8 yards after the catch per reception in 2025, one of the best marks at the position. That number has fallen to 5.6 this season, though it comes on a small sample of nine catches. His yards per catch has dropped from 15.3 to 11.8.

His 2025 numbers show what he can do when everything is working. Before the injury, Kraft caught 32 passes for 489 yards and six touchdowns in eight games and led all tight ends in Fantasy points per game.

Week 4 offers a good chance to get back on track. Green Bay visits Tampa Bay on Sunday, and the Buccaneers have allowed the second-most Fantasy points per game to tight ends this season at 22.1. The Packers have also struggled to run the ball, which should keep the passing game busy. Green Bay has just 146 rushing yards on 48 carries through three games.

Kraft will need to show he still belongs in the weekly TE1 conversation. The snaps and targets suggest a turnaround is possible, and the matchup is a favorable one. Tucker Kraft fantasy managers should keep him in their lineups this week and watch closely for signs that the connection with Love is improving.
