This is terrible news for those who took a chance on the veteran after concerns about his recent concussion problems. Before the news broke, we had Wes Welker at 4 receptions for 45 yards in our week one projections, so our expectations were low going in. The extra yardage will be spread around adding an extra catch or two to players like Andre Caldwell, Cody Latimer and Emmauel Sanders. There are a lot of targets in Denver, and I wouldn’t assume that receivers like Latimer or Caldwell all of a sudden become any more fantasy worthy with or without Welker’s suspension.
