TNF Prop Bets: Week 15
A lot of fantasy football fans are going to be trying to find other ways to yell at their TV this weekend. The cutoff for the fantasy postseason has passed, and most leagues are trying to convince those who didn’t make the playoffs that the “loser bowl” is still fun. – It’s not.
Daily Fantasy may interest some as a pass time this week, whereas others will be focusing on players’ props and sports betting. The following are my TNF Prop Bets; please bet responsibly.
Thursday Night Football will feature a NFC West divisional matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams. The 49ers are 3-point favorites, and the total points for the game is set at 48.5
Betting Trends
- Brock Purdy is 4-0 on Thursday Night Football
- Matthew Stafford is 7-8 on Thursdays in his career but 3-1 as the QB for the Rams
- The 49ers have an 8-2 record versus the Rams dating back from 2019.
Injury News
- Trent Williams Ruled Out For Week 15 – Left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday’s divisional matchup against the Rams. The veteran left tackle has been unable to practice all week and will now miss his fourth-straight contest. As a result, Jaylon Moore will get the start once again.
Nick Bosa Listed As Questionable – Edge rusher Nick Bosa (oblique) is questionable for Thursday night’s divisional battle. Bosa has been unable to practice all week and is now in danger of missing his fourth-straight contest. Bosa sustained this oblique injury during their Week 11 match against the Seattle Seahawks.
- Isaac Guerendo Questionable For Thursday Night – Rookie RB Isaac Guerendo (foot) is listed as questionable against the Rams. Guerendo sustained this injury last weekend during their victory over the Chicago Bears. Before the injury the fourth-round rookie tallied 78 yards and two scores on 15 attempts. With both Christian McCaffrey (knee) and Jordan Mason (ankle) on the injured reserve, Guerendo was slated to operate as the lead running back for the remainder of the season. However, dealing with his own injury, Patrick Taylor Jr. may be given the starting nod on Thursday. Taylor ran for 25 yards and a touchdown after Guerendo left and could be a viable RB2 in all formats if he is given the starting nod.
Over 20.5 Completions (-110)
With questions about the health of Isaac Guerendo, there isn’t a lot of depth on the roster for healthy RBs. The game plan may be to use Deebo more in the running game or rely on short passes to get the ball out quick. 21 completions seems very achievable,
Over 63.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
Cooper Kupp played 12 games last year but missed both contests against the 49ers. However, Kupp’s history against the 49ers is quite impressive, especially at Levi’s Stadium. Kupp also tends to shine on Thursday nights, as he has had 56 catches for 652 yards and has scored six touchdowns in 8 games on Thursdays in his career.
Kupp is coming off a strong game against the Bills, and despite the short week, I like him to get over 63 receiving yards.
Under 49.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
As I mentioned in our Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em article for Week 15. I don’t feel Brock Purdy and Deebo are on the same page. The Passing game goes through Kittle and Jennings.
Anytime Touchdown (-188)
Williams has a three-game TD streak going. The Rams all-purpose back has 14 total TDs this year and has been a reliable weapon on offense. If you’re feeling lucky, I would even suggest two-or-more scores at -250
