Thursday Night Football Rams at 49ers
Last week’s matchup between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers was a nail biter. The game consisted of a back-and-forth battle that came down to a field goal. This Thursday’s game consists of the Los Angeles Rams (7-6) traveling to take on NFC West rival the San Francisco 49ers (6-7). The race to win the NFC West is on as both teams look to climb the ladder and clinch the last playoff spot. For the Los Angeles Rams, with a win on Thursday night and a Seattle loss to Green Bay this Sunday, puts them an inch closer to getting in. San Francisco on the other hand, is trying to keep afloat as their playoff hopes are dwindling by the second. Both teams played at peak level last week in their respective matchups. The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Buffalo Bills 44-42 in a game for the ages where Josh Allen scored 3 passing touchdowns and 3 rushing yards, totaling 51.9 fantasy points. I’m sure anyone who has him as their starting quarterback for their fantasy team was happy. The San Francisco 49ers steamrolled the Chicago Bears 38-13. The game made history as the 49ers accumulated 319 total yards to the Bears 4 yards in the first half which was the largest differential in the league this season. As the season is coming to a close, winning games is becoming increasingly important. This game is no different with a chance to tie for first in the NFC West for the Rams if they should win. If the 49ers should win, it gives them a glimpse of hope, but they need to win out to clinch. Jennings has emerged as one of Brock Purdy’s favorite targets this season. Last time he faced the Los Angeles Rams defense he recorded 11 receptions for 175 yards and scored 3 touchdowns. His production has seen an uptick as last week he posted 90 yards on 7 receptions and scored 2 touchdowns. I expect Jennings to play a prominent role in the 49ers offense in a great matchup. He is a must-start in DFS lineups for Thursday night.

This might be the chance Taylor has been waiting for as all the other running backs for the 49ers have gone down with injuries. Players include Christian McCaffrey (IR, knee), Jordan Mason (IR, ankle), and Isaac Guerendo (doubtful, ankle). The 49ers have one of the best offensive lines in the league that has allowed the running backs to have success on the ground. They average 139.6 rushing yards per game this season. Taylor is a great player to start in DFS lineups this week.

Atwell is one of those sneaky players with upside to put on a decent performance this week. He is the third option behind Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua in the passing game. He sees a few targets every week and there is always a chance to score a touchdown. Atwell is worth the last spot in DFS lineups for Thursday night’s game.

Karty was frequently on the field last week, kicking 1 field goal and hitting 5/6 extra points. If this game is anything like last week’s matchup, he should be seeing plenty of attempts to score points. I would take a chance and add him in lineups with your second to last or last slot open.
