Thursday Night Football 49ers at Seahawks
Last Thursday night’s game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Atlanta Falcons was an offensive shootout. Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 42/58 passes for 509 yards, scored 5 touchdowns, and threw 1 interception. He scored 34.4 fantasy points which was the highest in the quarterback category. We also saw Falcons wide receivers Drake London and Darnell Mooney both perform well, each recording over 100 yards and scoring touchdowns. On the flip side, Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield threw for 180 yards and scored 3 touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to help his team defeat their NFC South rival. Unfortunately, late in the game, even after a Lavonte David interception, the Buccaneers could not capitalize, closing out the game with less than two minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Falcons ultimately defeated the Buccaneers 36-30 in overtime with a KhaDarel Hodge 45-yard receiving touchdown. The next time we see these two teams face off against each other will be on October 27th.
Game Preview
Thursday night’s game features the San Francisco 49ers traveling to take on their NFC West rival the Seattle Seahawks. Both teams are coming off losses from last week’s matchups. The Cardinals defeated the 49ers 24-23 and the Giants defeated the Seahawks 29-20. As usual, I do not expect the game plan of either team to change. The 49ers are going to want to establish the run early and the Seahawks will rely heavily on the passing game. Caution: I do not expect the Seahawks to have success rushing the ball against one of the best defenses that specializes in stopping the run. This should be a fun and exciting matchup as these two teams face off on Thursday night on Amazon Prime and your local channel at 8:20 pm EST.

It is going to be all hands-on deck in this rivalry matchup against the Seahawks. The 49ers offense is going to have to get everyone involved. Jennings has already proved that he is a reliable receiver a few weeks ago recording 11 of 12 targets for 175 yards and scoring 3 touchdowns against the Rams defense. Expect him to see a good amount of work this week, and he is worth a flex spot in your DFS lineup.

Even with the emergence of young receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Lockett has always been a contributor to the offense. The Seahawks are going to need to spread the ball to different receivers including Lockett to keep the 49ers on their toes and win this game. I’m in favor of putting Lockett in the flex spot of your DFS lineup for Thursday’s game.
Prop Bets
O/U 82.5 (-115) Rushing Yards
Mason has rushed for over 100 yards in three games this season. Now that it is confirmed that star running back Christian McCaffrey will not be activated off injured reserved for the foreseeable future, Mason is the starting running back for the time being. I’m taking the over on this bet as Mason faces the Seahawks defense that is weak against the run.
O/U 48.5 (-110) Receiving Yards
Njigba has seen a heavy number of targets (40) in the Seahawks pass heavy offense. His route running and yards after the catch are what separates him from the rest of the offense. I expect him to receive a plethora of targets once again and hit the over on this prop bet.
Prediction
I believe the San Francisco 49ers are going to defeat the Seattle Seahawks 34-30.
