Thursday Night Football Cowboys at Giants
Last Thursday night’s game between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets was an unexpected blowout. We saw Aaron Rodgers play at MetLife Stadium for the first time since his torn achilles last season. He methodically picked apart the New England defense, completing 27/35 passes for 281 yards and threw 2 touchdowns. On the other hand, the Patriots put on a lackluster performance on both sides of the ball and as a result, starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett was benched late in the fourth quarter in favor of rookie Drake Maye who completed 4/8 passes for 22 yards in his debut. The New York Jets defeated the New England Patriots 24-3.

Thursday night’s game features NFC East rivals the Dallas Cowboys traveling to take on the New York Giants. This is the second consecutive week MetLife Stadium will host Thursday Night Football. The Giants look to build on their momentum from their win last week, defeating the Cleveland Browns 21-15. Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers tore apart the Browns defense, recording 8 receptions for 78 yards and 2 touchdowns. However, the Giants defense did not look stellar as they allowed Amari Cooper to record 7 receptions for 86 yards and score 2 touchdowns. The Dallas Cowboys on the other hand, suffered a humiliating loss to the Baltimore Ravens 28-25. There is more to the game than the final score offers. At one point, the Baltimore Ravens were decimating the Cowboy’s defense, winning 28-6, but somehow the Ravens stopped playing ball, and the Cowboys almost won the game. Expect him to be heavily involved in the offensive scheme for the Giants against the Cowboys and smile when he scores once again to make it three consecutive weeks putting up a touchdown.

I believe the Dallas Cowboys will defeat the New York Giants in a close high scoring game 30-27 on the road.
