ThriveFantasy Player Prop Advice: Week 12

ThriveFantasy Tips: Week 12

Have you ever heard of ThriveFantasy?

It is a new Daily Fantasy Sports app that is unlike your usual competitive fantasy choices and meant for the everyday fan. ThriveFantasy focuses on top-tier athletes from every sport while streamlining the drafting process. The result is a captivating DFS game that even the casual and hardcore sports fan can enjoy. You build a lineup around a list of simple binary player propositions.

The less likely the player prop is to take place the more points the choice will be worth. You score points based on the number of props you select correctly. As an example, your team could be made up of 15 picks that you select out of an available list of 20. You will also select two in case of emergency or ICE picks. These ICE picks will automatically be added to your team only if an athlete is ruled out of a game prior to their start time. You will be alerted if an ICE is being used. ThriveFantasy has an app that features live updates to let you know in real time how close your picks are to hitting and to provide you a line of sight of how you stack to the competition.

This week’s article will focus on the $25 NFL Week 12 $3,000 Guaranteed Contest highlighting 10 props to target.

Tom Brady

285.5 Passing Yards Per Game

  • Over = 95 points
  • Under = 105 points

Can the Patriots bounce back after a humiliating 24 point loss to the Titans prior to entering their bye week? The team is 9-1 straight up and against the spread in their last 10 games following a loss. The Patriots are 10 point favorites against the Jets with a projected point total of 46, but the under has been hit the last four times these teams have played. Brady is only averaging 275 passing yards per game this season, but has multiple games with 285 or more passing yards. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop.

Leonard Fournette

70.5 Rushing Yards Per Game

  • Over = 105 points
  • Under = 95 points

Fournette is averaging 18 rushing attempts and 54.75 rushing yards per game this game while averaging a dismal three yards per carry. The Bills defense is allowing nearly 100 rushing yards per game, but has only averaged 75 over the last three. The Jaguars have averaged 31.3 rushing attempts per game the last three games. The team will continue to feed Fournette and the other running backs in an attempt to protect quarterback Blake Bortles. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop. The point spread between the Jaguars and Bills suggest this game will be close.

Odell Beckham

99.5 Receiving Yards

  • Over = 115 points
  • Under = 85 points

Beckham being targeted nearly 11 times per game while averaging 93.2 receiving yards per game. He has five games with 100 or more receiving yards. Beckham is also averaging 120 air yards per game. The Giants and Eagles have a projected point total of 46.5. Injuries have affected the Eagles secondary. The unit has allowed 292 passing yards per game over the last three. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop.

Doug Baldwin

4.5 Receptions

  • Over = 110 points
  • Under = 90 points

The Seahawks and Panthers are a very tight point spread with a projected point total of 46.5. Baldwin has been a difficult player to trust this season. He has averaged 4.25 receptions over the Seahawks last four games. The Panthers defense allowed six catches for 52 yards to Bruce Ellington last week who also runs a high percentage of routes from the slot. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop.

Cam Newton

1.5 Passing Touchdowns

  • Over = 120 points
  • Under = 80 points

Newton is averaging two passing touchdowns per game this season. The only game he did not have two or more passing touchdowns was Week 1. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop. The Seahawks defense has allowed two passing touchdowns per game over their last three.

Mike Evans

80.5 Receiving Yards

  • Over = 90 points
  • Under = 110 points

Evans bounced back nicely last week with six receptions, 120 receiving yards, and a touchdown after struggling in Week 9 and 10. He is averaging nine 96 receiving yards and 133 air yards per game. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop. The matchup between the Buccaneers and the 49ers have a projected point total 54.

Melvin Gordon

79.5 Rushing Yards Per Game

  • Over = 100 points
  • Under = 100 points

Gordon is averaging 16 rushing attempts and 82.3 rushing yards per game. The Cardinals have allowed 125 rushing yards per game over their last three. The projected point total on this matchup is 44 points with the Chargers as a heavy favorite. Positive game flow should be on Gordon’s side. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop.

Ben Roethlisberger

303.5 Passing Yards

  • Over = 105 points
  • Under = 95 points

Roethlisberger has averaged 320.2 passing yards per game this season. He has attempted at 46 passes in three of his last five games. The Broncos defense has allowed 289 passing yards per game over the last three. Roethlisberger has two of the most dynamic wide receivers in the league with Antonio Brown and Juju Smith-Schuster. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop.

Andrew Luck

24.5 Completions

  • Over = 95 points
  • Under = 105 points

Luck has averaged 40 pass attempts and 27 completions per game. The Colts are heavy favorites at home against the Dolphins with a projected point total of 51. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop.

James Conner

105.5 Total (Rushing Yards and Receiving Yards)

  • Over = 80 points
  • Under = 120 points

It is difficult to bet the under on this player prop. Conner has averaged 23.3 opportunities (rushing attempts and targets) and 121 total yards per game this season. The Broncos defense has improved against the run recently, but did allow 127 receiving yards to Chargers running backs last week. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop.
