ThriveFantasy Player Prop Advice: Week 14

ThriveFantasy Tips: Week 14

Have you ever heard of ThriveFantasy?

It is a new Daily Fantasy Sports app that is unlike your usual competitive fantasy choices and meant for the everyday fan. ThriveFantasy focuses on top-tier athletes from every sport while streamlining the drafting process. The result is a captivating DFS game that even the casual and hardcore sports fan can enjoy. You build a lineup around a list of simple binary player propositions.

The less likely the player prop is to take place the more points the choice will be worth. You score points based on the number of props you select correctly. As an example, your team could be made up of 15 picks that you select out of an available list of 20. You will also select two in case of emergency or ICE picks. These ICE picks will automatically be added to your team only if an athlete is ruled out of a game prior to their start time. You will be alerted if an ICE is being used. ThriveFantasy has an app that features live updates to let you know in real time how close your picks are to hitting and to provide you a line of sight of how you stack to the competition.

This week’s article will focus on the $25 NFL Week 14 $2,500 Guaranteed Contest highlighting 10 props to target.

Jameis Winston

312.5 Passing Yards

  • Over = 95 points
  • Under = 105 points

Winston has thrown for 561 passing yards over the last two games in the Buccaneers pass-first offense. The Saints defense has allowed 979 passing yards over the last four games. This game has the highest projected point total of Week 14. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop.

Alvin Kamara

66.5 Rushing Yards

  • Over = 110 points
  • Under = 90 points

This is a plus matchup for Kamara. The Buccaneers defense has allowed 121 rushing yards per game this season. The Saints find themselves as favorites on the road. Kamara should benefit from positive game flow in this matchup. He is averaging 62 rushing yards per game. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop.

LeSean McCoy

0.5 Rushing or Receiving Touchdown

  • Over = 120 points
  • Under = 80 points

McCoy has averaged nearly 20 opportunities (rushing attempts and targets) per game over the last four weeks. The last time he scored a touchdown was back in Week 10 against the Jets. The Jets defense has allowed 186 rushing yards,  265 passing yards, 1.3 rushing touchdowns, and 2.0 receiving touchdowns per game over the last three. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop.

Saquon Barkley

120.5 Rushing and Receiving Yards

  • Over = 100 points
  • Under = 100 points

Barkley has played 84 percent of the Giants offensive snaps. He has touched the football or has been targeted on 44.5 percent of them averaging 130 total yards per game. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop. Barkley will be actively involved regardless of game flow. The only two running backs with more targets are Christian McCaffrey (92) and James White (105). My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop.

Cam Newton

20.5 Total Completions

  • Over = 80 points
  • Under = 120 points

The Panthers defense has given up the fifth most points in the first half of road games, but the offense scores the third fewest. This negative game flow forces Newton to throw more. He is averaging 10 more pass attempts on the road. The Panthers also average 68 fewer rushing yards per game on the road. Newton is averaging 23.1 completions per game this season, but his home and road splits suggest that you should take the under on this prop.

Ben Roethlisberger

3.5 Total (Passing Touchdowns + Interceptions)

  • Over = 125 points
  • Under = 75 points

Roethlisberger has averaged 329 passing yards per game and has thrown multiple touchdowns in five of his last six games. The Raiders defense is allowing 397 total yards per game this season. The Steelers lead the NFL with 43.5 passing attempts per game. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop.

Phillip Lindsay

71.5 Rushing Yards

  • Over = 90 points
  • Under = 110 points

Lindsay has only averaged 13 rushing attempts per game, but 78.1 rushing yards per game this season. He has seen double-digit carries in six consecutive games. Lindsay is the engine to drives the Broncos offense and has nearly accumulated 1,000 rushing yards despite only starting five games this season. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop in a game the Broncos are favored to win.

Juju Smith-Schuster

90.5 Receiving Yards

  • Over = 105 points
  • Under = 95 points

Smith-Schuster has scored 15 or more fantasy points in 67 percent of his games. He is averaging 10 targets, 93 receiving yards, and 122 air yards per game this season. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop in a plus matchup for the Steelers.

Brandin Cooks

0.5 Receiving Touchdown

  • Over = 125 points
  • Under = 75 points

The Bears defense has allowed a receiving touchdown from Kenny Golladay, Stefon Diggs, and Odell Beckham over the last four games. Cooks has accumulated 38 targets over the last four games. The matchup between the Bears and Rams has a Vegas projected point total of 52. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop.

Allen Robinson

3.5 Receptions

  • Over = 105 points
  • Under = 95 points

Robinson has been targeted 28 times over the last four games. It would be a boost having Mitch Trubisky under center after recovering from a shoulder injury the last two games. The Bears will have to score a lot of points to keep up with the Rams high octane offense. My recommendation is to take the over on this player prop.
