My Thoughts
I’m surprised by a few of these teams and their odds heading into the NFL season. For starters, the 49ers and the Brandon Aiyuk distraction has dragged on for weeks. I’m sure players on the 49ers are sick of it, and want an issue resolved. Reporters are constantly digging for info from coaches and teammates. I can’t see how a team going through this and coming off a Super Bowl loss should be tied with the Chiefs for having the best odds.
The Bills at +1200 despite trading away Stefon Diggs seems like a bargain to me. They did draft Keon Coleman in the first round who is more than capable of contributing right away. There is also some belief that without Diggs, Josh Allen will be able to spread the ball around instead of dealing with Diggs’s WR1 diva demands.
The Eagles at +1400 are a deal. I expect as soon as the season starts those odds will be cut in half. The team is having an excellent training camp and have new offensive and defensive coordinators that are viewed as upgrades to what they had last year.
