Sam Bradford Signs 2 year Deal with Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles locked up QB Sam Bradford for the next two seasons with a new contract worth $36 million Tuesday. The contract is rumored to be incentive based, but does include $22 million guaranteed.

The Eagles 2015 gunslinger was acquired through trade around this time last year for Nick Foles and the Eagles 2016 2nd round draft pick. Bradford struggled through most of the 2015 season gaining most of his season yardage in garbage time throughout an ugly season of miscues and turmoil. Nevertheless, Bradford must have showed enough to the new coaching staff to earn himself a new contract and be apart of the teams future plans.

Fantasy Perspective: Despite the fact that the offensive system will be completely different now that Chip Kelly is gone, the chemistry between Jordan Matthews, Zach Ertz and even Nelson Agholor can continue together as a unit. This is probably the best case scenario for all Eagles fantasy options as the team has endured too much change over the last few seasons.

Sam Bradford is a lower tier QB that you wouldn’t want as your full time fantasy starter, but as a depth player he should hold his worth as long as Doug Pederson’s new offense isn’t too conservative.
