Rueben Randle Signs with Rival Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles signed wide receiver Rueben Randle formerly of the New York Giants, to a one-year $1.025 million contract.

After rumors of Randle, a former 2nd round pick from 2012 could possible land with the LA Rams, the 24-year-old surprised many by signing with a division rival. Randle can earn over $3 million via incentives and got $500,000 guaranteed but enters a crowded, underachieving wide receiving group.

Recently, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said Jordan Matthews will play outside receiver this spring and also mentioned that second-year WR Nelson Agholor will remain a starter. Meaning, Rueben Randle, Josh Huff and newly acquired Chris Givens will battle it out for the third and forth receiver spots on the team. It’s likely Huff is the odd man out, but only time will tell.

[the_ad id=”61518″] Fantasy Spin: Doug Pederson will install a new offense this offseason, one that will heavily focus on the running game. With Matthews, Agholor and Zach Ertz hogging majority of the targets, Randle’s signing in Philly hurts his already low fantasy value.
