Fanduel Sleepers Week 9
Last week was another solid week for Gridiron Experts and my Fanduel sleepers. Hopefully, I can continue this streak in Week 9. The suggested Fanduel players below have been selected because they are, in my opinion, “the best bang for your buck” to build a lineup with.
Quick Side Note
As awesome as Fanduel is, we all have an off week now and then. If you’re looking to change things up for a week, maybe check out a new Daily Fantasy platform called DRAFT. Quarterback
Drew Brees vs. TB
FanDuel Price: $8,300
The Buccaneers defense isn’t any good, I know this isn’t breaking news but I think Drew Brees at home against this Buccaneers defense should be more than $8,300. Sure Brees hasn’t been throwing as much as he has in past years but I have that gut feeling that he puts up a crazy fantasy day at home. Plus the fact that he hasn’t been putting up the high number of fantasy points make me believe he will be low owned.
Running Back
Alvin Kamara vs. TB
FanDuel Price: $6,600
Doing a little quarterback and running back stack this week. Again this Buccaneers defense isn’t good. Over the last four weeks, Kamara is averaging 13 touches a game. Getting that many touches on a high powered offense are worth investing in. In the last four weeks, Kamara is averaging 91.5 total yards and has scored two touchdowns. He is getting the touches and yards and I don’t know if I mentioned this but the Buccaneers defense isn’t good, Kamara scores this week against this defense.
Christian McCaffrey vs ATL
FanDuel Price: $6,100
The Falcons struggle against pass-catching running back. We can all agree that McCaffrey is the definition of a pass-catching running back. He leads all running backs with 49 receptions and is on pace for 98 this season. The Falcons have given up the third most receptions to running backs with 48 and now that Kelvin Benjamin is a Buffalo look for the Panthers to look to McCaffrey even more.
Wide Receiver
Tyreek Hill @DAL
FanDuel Price: $7,700
So I saw this today and I almost couldn’t believe it. Why isn’t anyone talking about Hill’s home and road splits? In Hills four road games this season he has 22 catches for 403 yards and three touchdowns. That’s insane! If he continues to dominate on the road at this price that is like stealing candy from a baby.
Demaryius Thomas vs. PHI
FanDuel Price: $6,700
Trust me on this one. The Eagles have given up the second most receptions to wide receivers in the NFL this season with 105. Thomas has been disappointing but it’s only because he hasn’t scored a touchdown. Touchdowns are hard to predict and sooner or later he will find the end zone. Also, Brock Osweiler is starting for the Broncos at quarterback now. In eight games with Osweiler in 2015, Thomas had 51 catches, 84 targets, 630 receiving yards, and five touchdowns. Anyone averaging 10 plus targets a game at this price is worth taking a shot on.
Tight End
Tyler Higbee @NYG
FanDuel Price: $4,500
The thrift shop of fantasy football on this one. Looking for something super cheap that hopefully, I end up loving. Higbee is averaging 4.6 targets a game over his last five games and I believe getting that target share against this Giants defense is worth it. They have given up the most touchdowns to tight ends in the NFL with eight and have given up the most fantasy points to tight ends in fantasy football. By going as cheap as possible you can load up at other positions.
Kicker
Ka’imi Fairbairn vs. IND
FanDuel Price: $5,000
I have been telling everyone to start their kickers against the Colts. They give up an average of 11 points to kickers every week. In a game where I expect the Texans to score a ton, I think going with Fairbairn is a really safe pick. Don’t over think your kicker’s people.
Defense / Special Teams
New Orleans Saints vs. TB
FanDuel Price: $4,500
The Saints defense makes in back to back weeks. What a crazy world we live in. The Saints defense has actually been pretty good and why would that change at home against Jameis Winston who is known for throwing interceptions. I expect the Saints to be winning most of this game which may lead to some garbage points but it also could lead to easy interceptions and a possible defense touchdown.
