Fanduel Sleepers Week 8
Last week was another solid week for Gridiron Experts and my Fanduel sleepers. Hopefully, I can continue this streak in Week 8. The suggested Fanduel players below have been selected because they are, in my opinion, “the best bang for your buck” to build a lineup with.

The Empire Fantasy Podcast
On this week’s podcast, Mike Rigz and Mitchell Renz get together to talk fantasy player value, investment players, answer Twitter Q&A and discuss some DFS Sleepers for Week 8.
Quarterback
Kirk Cousins vs. DAL
FanDuel Price: $7,800
I’m a little confused by the pricing of Cousins. He is the 9th priced quarterback, yet he has been on a tear the last two weeks. He is has scored the second most fantasy points over the last two weeks. He has thrown for 633 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions. This week he gets division rival the Dallas Cowboys who are ranked 22nd against fantasy points to quarterbacks. Keep rolling with Cousins while he is hot.
Running Back
Joe Mixon vs. IND
FanDuel Price: $5,900
Last week Mixon was disappointing but that was due to the game script and a tough defense. Before that game, he had three straight games with over 15 carries, and two of those games he had over 20 touches. If he gets 15-20 touches against this Colts defense that has given up the second most fantasy points to running backs he will have a great week. The issue has been finding the end zone for Mixon and with a Colts defense that has given up the most rushing touchdowns in the league with eight, I think he finds the end zone.
Christian McCaffrey @TB
FanDuel Price: $6,300
The Buccaneers have been terrible against receivers this year. McCaffrey is basically the Buccaneers top receiver this year. In fact, he is currently on pace for exactly 100 catches. Two shy of the NFL record by a running back set by Matt Forte. McCaffrey’s 44 catches is the fourth most in the NFL and I think he gets another high target volume against a really bad Buccaneers defense.
Wide Receiver
Nelson Agholor vs. SF
FanDuel Price: $6,600
Agholor has been super efficient with his targets this season catching 69 percent of them. Right now the Eagles are rolling and Agholor has scored a touchdown in three straight games and I am just going to stay in the flames with this offense. Agholor over the last four weeks is a top five wide receiver with only Antonio Brown, Mike Evans, DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller scoring more points than him.
Josh Doctson vs. DAL
FanDuel Price: $5,200
The Cowboys give up the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers and in seven weeks they have given up eight touchdowns to wide receivers. Doctson will start to play more now than Terrelle Pryor is a non-factor. I’m going with a cheap Cousins and Doctson stack to build a strong lineup in hopes they connect on a touchdown. Doctson has scored twice in the last four weeks and had a season-high in targets (5), and catches (3) last week which I’m hoping continues to rise.
Tight End
Jason Witten @WAS
FanDuel Price: $5,400
The Redskins flat out are bad against tight ends. On average they give the third most fantasy points to tight ends. Even with a bye, they have given up the most receiving yards to tight ends with 519. Witten has three games this season with over nine targets and in this matchup I expect him to get a heavy target share. Witten has been a solid option in four of six weeks and against this Redskins defense, he will make it five of seven solid weeks.
Kicker
Randy Bullock vs. IND
FanDuel Price: $4,600
Start your kickers against the Colts. It has been working all season for me and I will continue to do it especially when they are cheap kickers. The Colts have given up the most field goals (17) and the most extra points (23) in the NFL. Kickers are averaging 11.9 fantasy points a week against them.
Defense / Special Teams
New Orleans Saints vs. CHI
FanDuel Price: $4,900
Seriously start the Saints. They are currently the number two defense in fantasy football right now. The Bears offense allows defenses to score the third most fantasy points in the league. Mitchell Trubisky will get a tough test on the road and he hasn’t thrown for more than 130 passing yards yet this season. In the three road games, this year for the Bears the opposing defenses have scored 18, 10, and 20 points.
Thanks for reading and remember to come back next week and if you win big don’t be afraid to share some of the wealth to the guy who brought you the advice.
