NFL Fanduel Week 4: Best Buys and Advice

NFL Fanduel Week 4

The Rams have scored the most points in the NFL with 107, and the Jaguars have the largest margin of victory through three games. Just as we all predicted right? Daily Fantasy is based on individual performances, but the surrounding team performance can dictate their success. Before you jump into your lineup, this week do a quick look at some of the team stats and averages.

The suggested Fanduel players below have been selected because they are, in my opinion, “the best bang for your buck” to build a lineup with. ALso, check out the latest Empire Fantasy Podcast where Mike Rigz and I discuss more Fanduel sleepers in greater detail.

Andy Dalton @CLE

FanDuel Price: $7,100

NFL Fanduel Week 4Even though the Bengals lost this past week against the Packers, he looked much better than he did the previous two weeks. Sure that isn’t hard, but he has an easy matchup this week against a Browns defense that just gave up 31 points to the Colts. Dalton has been solid against the Browns in his last four starts. He has nine touchdowns and zero interceptions which I think is pretty good for a quarterback who is basically at the minimum price.

Running Back

Wendell Smallwood @LAC

FanDuel Price: $5,300

No more Darren Sproles leaves the door open for Smallwood to take over this backfield. He looked good this past week rushing for 71 yards on 12 carries. I’m not crazy about Blount, personally just don’t think he is a good running back. Smallwood played in 44 snaps which were more than double of snaps played for Blount. At this cheap of a price finding a running back who could see Smallwood’s workload is intriguing.

Chris Carson vs. IND

FanDuel Price: $6,600

Chris Carson is the running back to own for the Seahawks and continues to get the majority of snaps for the team. He is averaging 4.5 YPC and has seen 34 touches the last two weeks. I know the Seahawks haven’t looked good, but I expect them to be able to control this game at home against a bad Colts team. If Carson can get more than 15 carries in this game, he could easily return 3X value.

Wide Receiver

A.J.Green @CLE

FanDuel Price: $8,000

Green had ten catches for 111 yards and one touchdown against the Packers. It was so refreshing to see Green perform the way we know he can. Green has feasted on the Browns his last two match-ups against them. His last two games combined against the Browns he has 14 catches for 297 yards and two touchdowns.

Paul Richardson vs. IND

FanDuel Price: $5,000

This is more of a sneaky play if Doug Baldwin is unable to play or is limited due to an injury he suffered this past week. Richardson only had two catches for 30 yards this past week but he was able to find the end-zone. Richardson was targeted seven times which is what I am looking at. If Richardson continues to average six targets a game he is a sneaky play at a great price against a bad defense. If Baldwin is out I believe he turns into the top target for the Seahawks.

Tight End

Charles Clay @ ATL

FanDuel Price: $5,300

Charles ClayClay was able to find the end-zone against the Denver Broncos this week and continues to be the go-to guy for Tyrod Taylor in the passing game. He is averaging six targets a game and has 13 receptions which is good for sixth best in the NFL among tight ends. I expect the Bills to be losing most of this game which means more opportunities for Clay.

Matt Prater @ MIN

FanDuel Price: $4,800

The Lions are playing very well offensively. They are in a dome and Prater isn’t highly priced considering how good he has been. He is a perfect six for six in field goals this season. The Vikings do have a good defense and especially at home, which I think forces the Lions to kick a few extra field goals.

Defense/Special Teams

Ravens vs. PIT

FanDuel Price: $4,500

This may surprise some people but as we saw last week and basically every week of Roethlisberger’s career. He struggles to lead a team on the road. Also, he struggles against the Ravens. In his last three games against the Ravens, he has four touchdowns and five interceptions and has failed to go over 280 passing yards. I wouldn’t be shocked if this is one of the lowest scoring games of the week since Steelers vs. the Ravens always seems to be low scoring.

Thanks for reading and remember to come back next week and if you win big don’t be afraid to share some of the wealth to the guy who brought you the advice.
