NFL Fanduel Week 13: Best Buys and Advice

FanDuel Week 13 Picks

FanDuel Week 13 PicksCan you believe it, it’s week 13, the final week of the regular season for fantasy football. It seems like just the other day I was writing my breakout and bust articles entering the 2017 NFL season. Now I’m trying to grasp the idea that Christmas is a month away and I need to put some money together to pay for my gifts. Hopefully, you take my advice and one of these players leads you to a serious payday to make the holidays a little sweeter. If one of my picks helps you out, please spread the holiday cheer with a shoutout to my Twitter @MitchellRenz365!

It’s important to remember the suggested Fanduel players below have been selected because they are, in my opinion, “the best bang for your buck” to build a lineup with.

Quarterback

Philip Rivers vs. CLE

FanDuel QB Price: $8,000

The Chargers have won five of their last seven games and have a realistic chance to make the playoffs after starting 0-4. In the previous seven games, Rivers has thrown for 14 touchdowns and three interceptions. The Browns defense are giving up 21.3 fantasy points a game to quarterbacks on the road. For a comparison, the 49ers give up the most points to quarterbacks per game on the season with 19.7. Play Rivers in a favorable matchup while he is red hot.

Running Back

Jordan Howard vs. SF

FanDuel RB Price: $7,500

Howard is coming off a game where he had only seven carries for six yards against the Eagles. The Eagles defensive line is for real and stacked the box against the Bears forcing them to pass which didn’t work all game. Howard is currently third in the NFL in rush attempts with 199 going up against the worst defense in the NFL against running backs in terms of fantasy points. The 49ers are allowing 28.6 fantasy points a week to running backs this season largely due to the fact on how often teams are able to run on them. The 49ers are the only team in the NFL that has allowed more than 300 rush attempts against them this season, and I expect a heavy dose of Jordan Howard in this Sunday matchup.

Jamaal Williams vs. TB

FanDuel RB Price: $5,700

Last week Tevin Coleman ran the ball 19 times for 97 yards and two touchdowns against the Buccaneers. Jamaal Williams the last three weeks has received 20, 18, 21 carries. At William’s current price, he will easily return twice the value if he is given 20 carries against this Buccaneers run defense that has given up eight rushing touchdowns in their six road games this season. Williams will return three times the value if he is able to contribute to the passing game like he did last week where he had four catches for 69 yards and one touchdown.

Wide Receiver

Davante Adams vs. TB

FanDuel WR Price: $6,500

Go with a Packers stack this week! That may sound crazy considering that this team is streaky offensively but the Packers are feeding two guys the ball right now and they are Adams and Jamaal Williams. Adams is currently a top 10 WR which is mind-blowing since we have seen Jordy Nelson fall off the face of the Earth. Since the Packers bye week in Week 8, Adams is averaging 6.25 catches, 87.8 yards, and 0.5 touchdowns. Adams in his last two games has scored over 19 fantasy points against the Ravens and Steelers who are ranked in the top five in terms of fantasy points allowed to wide receivers. This week he gets the Buccaneers who allow the most fantasy points and have surrendered the most receptions (169), yards (2,285) and targets (251) to wide receivers this season.

Jermaine Kearse vs. KC

FanDuel WR Price: $5,800

Kearse is coming off an impressive performance where he had seven catches for 105 yards and one touchdown. This week he plays a Chiefs defense that has been exposed in the secondary especially against the wide receiver two on the opposing teams. This Chiefs secondary has allowed the third most fantasy points to wide receivers on the season and have given up the most touchdowns to wide receivers with 16. Kearse in Week 13 finds the end zone in this matchup bringing at least double the value for owners who play him.

Tight End

Jared Cook vs. DEN

FanDuel TE Price: $5,500

This is the second week in a row I’m picking Jared Cook. The reason is simple, Cook is playing the New York Giants and is a recipe for DFS success as the Giants have been dreadful against Tight Ends in 2017. The Giants are allowing the most targets (99) and touchdowns (10) to tight ends. The Raiders will be without Michael Crabtree and possibly Amari Cooper which should mean more targets for Cook who is third on the team in targets with 65 but tied for the lead in receptions with 42 and leads the team in receiving yards with 536.

Kicker

Ryan Succop vs. HOU

FanDuel Kicker Price: $4,700

This Titans and Texans game smells like a field goal fest because both offenses have not been very impressive the last few weeks. Currently, the Texans are giving up the third most points to kickers in fantasy this season. The Texans in their last three road games have given up 11,17, and 14 to kickers which gives me the confidence that this trend continues and Succop scores double-digit fantasy points this week.

Defense / Special Teams

Raiders vs. NYG

FanDuel Defense Price: $4,600

The Raiders last week recorded their first interception of the season and fired their defensive coordinator the week before that. So why would I pick the Raiders defense? His name is Geno Smith and he has been a black hole of a quarterback his entire career throwing for 28 touchdowns and 36 interceptions. The Giants benched Eli Manning and are going with Smith and hopefully, this game turns out like the Bills game where they benched Tyrod Taylor.
