NFL Fanduel Week 12: Best Buys and Advice

FanDuel Week 12 Picks

NFL Fanduel WeekWeek 12 is arguably my favorite regular season week of the entire fantasy football season. With three games on Thursday because of Thanksgiving, it’s like a great appetizer. This Thanksgiving I wasn’t able to spend time with my family because I had to work, but I am grateful for my Twitter family @MitchellRenz365 and if you play any of the players in this article tweet at me that they brought you joy and filled your pockets almost as much as you fill your belly. It’s important to remember the suggested Fanduel players below have been selected because they are, in my opinion, “the best bang for your buck” to build a lineup with.

Andy Dalton vs. CLE

FanDuel Price: $7,200

Andy Dalton’s best game this season came in Week 4 when Dalton played the Browns and threw for 286 yards and four touchdowns. Dalton has been solid against the Browns in his last five starts, he has 13 touchdowns and zero interceptions which I think is pretty good for a quarterback who is basically at the minimum price. Dalton and the Bengals have been better of late and in his last four games, he has seven touchdowns and zero interceptions. Roll with the Dalton in a favorable matchup where history suggests he will do well.

Running Back

Dion Lewis vs. MIA

FanDuel Price: $6,200

Dion LewisCall me crazy but maybe Lewis is the running back for the New England Patriots that we can trust every week. He has had 10 plus carries in five straight weeks and in those five weeks he has totaled over 50 yards of total offense in every single one of those games. Lewis has scored a touchdown in two straight games and is a major reason why Mike Gillislee has been a healthy inactive for the past two weeks. In Week 11, Rex Burkhead fumbled which led to Lewis getting a season-high four receptions. I think Lewis is the running back to own in a Patriots offense going up against a Dolphins defense that has struggled on the road of that giving up 201 rushing yards to the Panthers in Week 10 and 168 rushing yards to the Ravens in Week 8.

Tevin Coleman vs. TB

FanDuel Price: $6,200

Tevin Coleman is the starting running back on the Falcons until Devonta Freeman returns from the concussion protocol. The last two weeks Coleman has had 20 carries and scored two rushing touchdowns. The Falcons offense is finally starting to play better scoring 27 against the Dallas Cowboys and 34 against the Seahawks. This is leading to more scoring opportunities for Coleman which is what I am targetting against a Buccaneers defense who is ranked 13th against running backs this season for fantasy football.

Black Friday Deal

Wide Receiver

A.J. Green vs. CLE

FanDuel Price: $8,300

AJ Green FantasyGreen has feasted on the Browns in his last three match-ups, in those three games he has His last three games combined against the Browns he has 19 catches for 360 yards and three touchdowns. The price for Green is high, but for someone who is basically averaging three times his current value is well worth the investment. Green is starting to roll scoring a touchdown in two straight weeks and he has scored in three of the last four weeks.

Emmanuel Sanders @OAK

FanDuel Price: $6,300

The Denver Broncos have a new starting quarterback and his name is Paxton Lynch. This obviously impacts Sanders, but actually, I think this move helps Sanders more than it hurts him considering he averaged 10.5 targets a game with Lynch as the quarterback last season.  The Raiders defense has been struggling of late giving up six receiving touchdowns to wide receivers and is a big reason why the Raiders fired their defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr on Tuesday.

Tight End

Jared Cook vs. DEN

FanDuel Price: $5,500

Believe it or not but Cook leads the Raiders in receiving yards this season with 535. He is also second on the team with 41 receptions which I still find extremely surprising. Cook the last four weeks has is averaging 6.5 targets a game which is a decent target share considering his price on Fanduel. The Broncos have struggled with tight ends this season giving up the second most fantasy points to the position on the year but they have also given up a touchdown to tight ends in four straight games. If Cook can continue to get his target share and find the end zone, he will be a great option for Fanduel.

Matt Bryant vs. TB

FanDuel Price: $4,900

Matt Bryant is at home, in a dome, and at a decent price. Again it’s Week 12 I shouldn’t have to tell you this but that’s what I look for in a Fanduel kicker. Bryant the last four weeks is averaging 10.8 fantasy points a game because the Falcons offense is finally starting to play better. Expect the Falcons to move the ball plenty on a defense who gives up 383.5 yards of offense a week which is 29th in the NFL.

Defense / Special Teams

Patriots vs. MIA

FanDuel Price: $4,700

The Patriots defense has played much better the last five games not allowing any of its opponents to score over 17 points. The Dolphins quarterbacks this season have thrown 13 interceptions which is the third most in the NFL. Also, the Dolphins are currently ranked 30th in total yards per game (292.3) and 31st in points per game (15.7).  The Patriots defense against a weak division rival is a solid start especially considering the price.
