Monday Night Football Prop Bets
Despite the winning record over this season in Prime Time NFL games with picking player props, I decided to take a week off after some ugly bad beats. It’s a good thing, too, as there would’ve been a couple more losses after Sunday due to injury. If you subscribe to any betting apps, you may have seen by popular demand that A.J Brown, over 81.5 receiving yards, seemed to be the industry’s top prop yesterday. Unfortunately, Brown got hurt and didn’t play in the second half of the game against the Jaguars. In this same game, the refs missed a terrible call on a SaQuon Barkley fumble that (along with several terrible coaching decisions by Philly) cost the Eagles -7.5 bettors.
But enough about the past. Let’s talk about tonight’s game.
Week nine Monday Night Football sees the 7-0 Kansas City Chiefs square off against the 4-4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While the Bucs are coming off a 31-26 loss to the division-rival Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City is still perfect after a 27-20 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. As we all know, two of the Buccaneers’ key offensive weapons—wide receivers Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (ankle)—will be absent. For the Chiefs, wide receiver Hollywood Brown (shoulder), runner Isiah Pacheco (leg), and receiver Rashee Rice (knee) are all on injured reserve.

MNF Prop Bet (-140)
The ugly string of injuries for the Chiefs hasn’t slowed them down yet; however, if they want to be three-beat Super Bowl champs, they need to build chemistry with what they have. DeAndre Hopkins was acquired for a 2025 conditional fifth-round pick from the Titans, and I think we will see a heavy dose of things to come tonight. Patrick Mahomes has made this offense work over the past couple of weeks with random depth players having break-out games, but it’s time for the Chiefs to settle in by making Nuk the top target in this offense.
I fully expect a high volume of targets for Hopkins tonight, as the NFL trade deadline is tomorrow. They’ll know whether or not Hopkins is the guy or if they need to add another weapon for the Chiefs in the morning.
MNF Prop Bet (-175)
Kareem Hunts’ role in the Chiefs offense has gone exceptionally well; there have been no setbacks since picking him up a few weeks ago. Hunt has been one of the more reliable aspects of the Chiefs offense, and I don’t see why they would not give him carries along the goalline.

Despite my praise for Hunt and the running game, the Chiefs’ offense still runs through Mahomes hands. The over on this prop has hit two of the last three weeks, and works with the narrative that Hopkins is in for a big night.

Last week, without the Bucs top two stud wide receivers, much of the passing game went through the RBs and TE Cade Otton. With limited options, I don’t expect much to change. Irving caught all 7 of his targets last week and should be the check-down option again tonight.

The league as a whole left a lot of points on the field Sunday. There were many questionable coaching decisions. I know Todd Bowles is a calm, conservative coach, and I don’t think he’ll gamble much against the league’s best team when there is a chance to get points on the road. The Bucs will move the ball well but fizzle out in the redzone.
