On Wednesday, the NFL suspended Detroit Lions RB Mikel Leshoure for the first two games of the 2012 season. Leshoure will also be dinged two additional game checks on top of the 2 games. The 2011 second round pick was busted twice this off-season on marijuana possession.
Leshoure will be allowed to stay with the team through the end of the preseason, then will be barred from the team facilities through the Lions’ Week Two game against the 49ers.
He can re-join the team on September 17.
