Dolphins free agent RB Lamar Miller told Miami’s 790 The Ticket he wants to be a “featured back.” Miller said he wants 20+ carries this season along with getting “the recognition I deserve.” Miller added that he would “love to stay” in Miami, and believes the team “picked the right guy” in hiring new head coach Adam Gase.

The Miami Herald’s Adam Beasley reported the Dolphins “definitely” want to re-sign impending free agent Lamar Miller, but obviously it all comes down to money. The Dolphins aren’t desperate to re-sign Miller with sophomore Jay Ajayi waiting in the wings

Fantasy Perspective: To say the Miami Dolphins underutilized running back Lamar Miller over the years would be a massive understatement. In the four seasons with the team, Miller saw his highest number of touches in 2014, averaging just 13.6 carries per game. Fans have been extremely frustrated with the play calling and lack of commitment to the run game over the years and unless Gase can sweet talk Miller that things will change, the team will have to break open the piggy bank.

In terms of getting the most production out of Miller, fantasy owners should hope he signs with a team that will actually commit to running the ball. Landing in Houston could be a nice fit.
