Bold NFL Predictions Week 12
Quite a few players put up 30 or more Fantasy Football PPR points for your fantasy football team in last week’s games, and there were also many that put up 20 or more points as well. There are lots of options out there that have the potential to make or break your weeks, you just have to look hard for them. Let’s dive into this week’s bold predictions and see if we can find a few.
Jameis Winston Struggles vs. Falcons
We all know how inconsistent Jameis Winston can be. Over the last five games, he’s thrown for over 300 yards in each of them. He even reached 400 yards in one of those games. But he’s also thrown 13 picks. That averages out to just over one interception for every 10 completions. You might be excited to start Winston off of the hope that he can continue to rack up yardage, but the risk is too great. This week, Winston will throw over three interceptions and have under 300 yards passing.
Matt Ryan Lands a Top-5 Performance
Speaking of consistency, Matt Ryan has been that this year for the Falcons. He has thrown for 300 or more yards in seven of the nine games he’s started. This week, Ryan gets one of the worst secondaries in the league. The Bucs have been shredded all year with questionable talent and little experience at the third level. Ryan should be able to shred this defense with Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley. He’ll throw for over 300 yards again and will have at least three touchdowns.
Derrick Henry Matches Last Years Game vs Jaguars
You still remember last year’s Thursday Night game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, right? Derrick Henry had one of the biggest games in recent memory. He had a Titans franchise record 238 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Henry singlehandedly carried your team to victory. This week he’ll be at it again. Lock Henry in for another 200+ yard rushing game and three-plus touchdowns against a familiar foe.
Todd Gurley Rushes For Over 100 Yards
The question mark surrounding Todd Gurley and his lower body injuries seem to have been talked about far too much throughout the offseason and even leading up to week 12. He’s missed just the one game so far and has been able to still produce touchdowns for your fantasy team. Although he has yet to hit the 100-yard rushing mark this season, though, he has come close with two 97 yard games. This week against the Ravens, Gurley will reach the century mark and will also get into the endzone as well.
D.J. Chark Gets Shutdown This Week
With the return of Nick Foles, D.J. Chark saw a season-high in targets and tied a season-high in receptions. He also was able to put up his second-most yards in a game this year. Pretty good game if you ask anyone, and it was also against a good team. This week, however, Chark is going to struggle. Fantasy owners are going to be excited about the matchup against what has been an average Titans secondary. but with the likelihood of Chark getting matched up against Adoree Jackson, he’s going to be in for a game where he struggles to get even 50 yards receiving.
Courtland Sutton Fails to Score 10 Fantasy Points
Courtland Sutton has had a beautiful breakout year during his sophomore season. Last week saw him put up over 100 yards receiving against a Vikings defense that has been tremendous against the pass. This year not so much, however. This week, Sutton gets to go against one of the better defenses in the league this year. Buffalo’s secondary has what it takes to match up against receivers of Sutton’s caliber. He will be shut down and will score less than 10 fantasy points this week.
Odell Beckham Jr. Scores His 2nd Touchdown and More
Odell Beckham Jr. has had one of the most disappointing seasons for fantasy owners. Many of you drafted him late in the first round or early in the second and have received little return from him. This week is the game you all have been waiting for. He’s going to have over 150 receiving yards this week, which will be the most he has had all year, and will have multiple touchdowns, which will be the first time he’s done that this year. Watch out for him and Baker Mayfield to get on the same page and have a monster game against the Miami Dolphins.
Zach Ertz Destroys The Seahawks
Zach Ertz has had a fairly pedestrian year leading up to the prior two weeks. In those last two games, Ertz 197 receiving yards on 18 catches and one touchdown. Clearly him and Carson Wentz are beginning to gel again as they did in so many years past. The Eagles are desperate to get back to their winning ways, and Ertz remaining on this hot streak will help with that. Ertz will have over 125 receiving yards and two touchdowns with double-digit catches this week against the Seahawks defense.
