The NFL Draft just got a little more interesting. Andrew Luck, the almost lock for the first overall pick has decided to remain in school next season. This surprising move should shake up future mock drafts and possibility ruin the chance to steal away Jim Harbaugh away from Stanford.
“I am committed to earning my degree in architectural design from Stanford University and am on track to accomplish this at the completion of the spring quarter of 2012″, said Luck.
The Panthers drafted Jimmy Clausen last year and were going to have to make a tough choice towards sticking with Clausen and trading down or taking the best quarterback to come out of the college ranks since Peyton Manning. While comparisons are always inflated, Andrew Luck has looked amazing, and really wouldn’t be a tough choice for Carolina, who currently holds the first pick.

James is a diehard fantasy football fan who has been playing for over 20 years. He doesn’t have a favorite team, mainly from moving around a lot when he was a kid. This has to lead to many fantasy championships as James drafts with his head, not with his heart. James also plays heavily in Dynasty Football and loves DFS and Picking games. He’s excited to see where he can go writing for Gridiron Experts
