Week 7 Fantasy Projections: Jaguars vs. Chiefs

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs are coming off two hard fought road losses, one a defensive battle in Indianapolis and the other a gamed filled with offensive fireworks against the Texans. Enter the Jacksonville Jaguars and their lowly defense to get Kansas City back on track. The Jags had an emotional, prime time game this Monday. On a short week, it will be hard for Jacksonville to get up for this game.

Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones are the Chiefs main offensive threats, and they should remain the focal point of this game. Although the Jaguars have given up a league leading 14 touchdown passes, expect Todd Haley to keep Matt Cassel handing the ball off to his two runners. Dwayne Bowe has shown some recent life in the passing game, and Dexter McCluster will see his share of touches in the return game, passing game, and perhaps even a log a couple of carries

David Garrard was injured Monday, and won’t even make the trip to Kansas City. Todd Bouman will start in his place. This is bad news for the entire offense. Maurice Jones-Drew is having a quiet 2010, by his standards, and will no doubt be the focus for an improved Chiefs defense. Mike Sims-Walker, Mike Thomas, and Marcedes Lewis will have to adjust to having an unfamiliar quarterback.
