Week 4 Picks

Buffalo at Miami
Chad Henne is the guy under center, or to be more accurate, the quarterback lining up out of the way at receiver for the Wildcat. The loss of Chad Pennington isn’t the end of the world. Yes, Pennington was very accurate when needed, and yes he read defenses at the line of scrimmage with the best of them, but Henne isn’t a flake.
No young quarterback steps in half way through a game and becomes a star (just ask Kevin Kolb). The week of preparation should give the second year QB a chance to become more comfortable with the receivers and gear up for the struggling Bills. The match-up couldn’t be better for the young kid as he faces a team with an injured defense. The Bills are also hurting on offense and will have to force the ball to T.O. unless they want a media headache next week. Expect a game of turnovers, with the Wildcat making all the right moves. MIA 19-17

Tennessee at Jacksonville
The Titans have to win this week…but that doesn’t mean they will. The Jaguars were impressive against the Texans last Sunday and will ride their new found confidence for as long as they can. The statistics for each team are very similar, making home field advantage that much more important. This will not be easy for the Titans but the key to the game is Kerry Collins. Collins needs to stretch the field and give the running game some breathing room. The Titans have lost their rhythm and need to get back to the basics by not pressing so hard. This will come down to the wire, but we see the Titans getting their first win. TEN 24-20

San Diego at Pittsburgh
Gridiron Experts is going out on a limb and picking the Chargers to upset the Steelers at home. The injury to Willie Parker’s foot and the fact that Polamalu is still not back is going to limit the Steelers in so many ways. Rivers is lighting up secondaries with deep throws to his receivers week after week, and after seeing his performance against the Ravens, I’m sure getting Tomlinson back will only add to the stacked Chargers lethal attack. LT should help in the red zone, which has been the Achilles heel for San Diego thus far. The Steelers have been playing sloppy football and shouldn’t be given as much credit for this year’s performance. SD 26-23
