Week 4 Fantasy Projections: Jets vs. Bills
New York Jets 2-1 vs. Buffalo Bills 0-3
In an earlier article dubbed Bread and Butter: Fantasy RB Update Mike Rodriguez advised you to put all Buffalo fantasy RB’s on the bench for a while. The nightmare of rotation and poor out of sync offense is terrible for fantasy points. I totally agree, although there might be a bright spot on the team with Ryan Fitzpatrick that may allow you to only have to sit them for this week.
The Buffalo Bills seem as organized as a person staring on A&E’s Hoarders these days, with too much waste and not enough garbage bags. Although, one teams trash is another teams treasure, as we saw with the release and signing of Trent Edwards in Jacksonville. When will this team figure out how to pick up the phone and make a trade? Any extra talent the Bills could have added in a minor deal for Edwards would have been better than letting him go for free, only to then watch him beat you in week 5 (yeah, that’s right, Jac vs. Buf next week). Marshan Lynch is another player that needs to go sooner than later, his value in a league that is a little desperate for RB talent would create at least draft picks for next season. The injury risk of using a player on the trading block is very stupid.
This weeks game between the Bills and Jets should be fairly one-sided. There are some concerns that this AFC match-up could be viewed as an overlook game for the Jets, as they play the Vikings at home next week. The Jets do have a sense of arrogance to them this season that will need to be caged in a divisional game that is just as important as beating the Dolphins or Patriots. Watch for either a tight contest that catches Rex Ryan and his crew off guard or a late scare that has the Bills storming back in the 4th quarter.
Fantasy “Jets” Green light for New York players including maybe a chance for Shonn Greene to earn clean-up duty on the way out of the doghouse. As for the Bills, I’d watch one more week with the new QB before plugging in anyone besides maybe Lee Evans.
