Vince Young To Sit

Get comfortable VY, with the success of veteran quarterback Kerry Collins at the helm for the Titans it looks as if your new home will be the bench. Chris Mortensen of ESPN is reporting that Jeff Fisher has already given Collins the starting job in 09. The 15 year veteran was voted as a Pro Bowl alternate and will replace Brett Favre on the AFC roster. A new job and a trip to Hawaii is definitely proof that experienced quarterbacks are becoming more valuable than the hot new rookie.
While Vince Young could benefit from being groomed, it’s funny to think that the two starting quarterbacks in what was found to be the best national championship game in the last decade are now riding the pine. Matt Leinhart and Vince Young were both top ten picks after an amazing Rose Bowl game that had both of them looked to as the next level of elite quarterbacks. Now with Kurt Warner and Kerry Collins starting, the bench becomes an expensive place to have money tied up.
