Vick To Fly With The Birds

mike vickQuarterback Michael Vick has signed a two-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, his agent, Joel Segal, confirmed to ESPN.com. Very interesting turn of events, the Eagle’s media should have a field day with this one as now the big question will be…Will we see Vick on the field?

Donovan McNabb came into this league as a run first quarterback, but in his years with head coach Andy Reid Donovan has become a solid single caller and has an excellent grasp of the Westcoast offense. Vick was terrible in this style of offense, so one has to wonder what Andy Reid is up too.  McNabb is a pocket passer and doesn’t have the agility he once did, so this could mean a MikeCowboys Eagles Football Vick version of the wildcat in Philly.

Vick arrived in Philadelphia Tuesday morning and remained there Wednesday evening. The Eagles will hold a news conference on Friday morning to announce his signing. The first year of the deal is for $1.6 million deal with an option for the second year at $5.2 million, FoxSports.com reports.

Vick can immediately take part in preseason practices, workouts and meetings, and can play in the final two preseason games. Of all the places to sign, Mike Vick lands where normal quarterbacks are booed and ripped apart. As  it seems  McNabb has a smoke screen for the media for a while as he’s no longer the Quarterback on a “short leash”.
