CHICAGO BEARS vs. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS -3

49er’s coach Mike Singletary played 11 years for the Bears and was the voice and soul of a defense that carried the team to a Super Bowl win in 1985. There are a lot of ties between these teams, but nobody cares about anything but a win on Thursday night. Both teams are struggling and both feature promising rookie wideouts. 49er’s Michael Crabtree is establishing himself as Alex Smith’s most reliable target, while fans are just impressed to see the 2005 first overall pick do anything at all.

The Bears bowed down to Jay Cutler when he showed up in the off-season, but most fans knew the quarterback position wasn’t the only hole on this team. With countless injuries the Bears have looked flat on all sides of the ball. Briggs will need to blow up run blocking schemes to prevent Frank Gore from doing what he did to the Seahawks earlier this season, or it could be a long night.

How We See It:

Neither team has looked good thus far and we expect a back and forth first half of 3 and outs and mistakes. Expect the reliable running game to bail out the 49er’s in close game: 49er’s 24-20
