I really can’t find a reason to move this team out of the top spot. If Tom Brady can throw for 400 yards against the Bills week3 he will top the record books for most consecutive games with 400+ yards.

NFL Week 2 Power Rankings These Power Rankings are purely based on the outcome and how the following teams performed in week 1. Many teams will free fall down this board, but for now we have to let them have their moment in the sun: 1. New England Patriots- Tom Brady cracks the 500+ yard mark and embarrasses a divisional rival in their house on MNF. 2. Green Bay Packers- If you’ve already forgotten the Thursday night shoot out, let me refresh your memory: Rodgers was near perfect, the defense played tough, and the Pack pulled out a tight win against a team that looked like they would have beaten any other home team this…

NFL Power Rankings I like how offended the masses seemed to be – everyone from Ed Rendell to your impartial NFL observer – by the concept of an NFL game on a Tuesday. You would have thought from the collective faux-outrage that Goodell decreed that they shrink the playing field by forty yards. There hasn’t been a Tuesday game since 1946. And obviously the league has been infallible for the past 64 years! Just total anarchy, I tell ya! Is it unfortunate the Eagles might have to play three games in twelve days or whatever? Of course, and it could be a disadvantage heading into the playoffs. But you know what would be even worse?…

Power Rankings Week 16 I’m at the point where in doing these rankings, I don’t even glance at the overall standings. They border on irrelevance when comparing and contrasting teams. This isn’t to say they’re inconsequential, they are obviously. But in terms of determining who would beat who in a one game playoff, for roughly 80% of the potential match-ups the circumstances surrounding any of them are equal or greater to the perceived talent of the coaches and players gracing the field. This is why gambling on the NFL has outlived its enjoyment. Onto the rankings. 1) New England Patriots Even their games that should result in losses still, somehow, turn into wins. It helps…

Power Rankings Week 15 Only three weeks left in the season, at this point I’m hoping the NFC can produce a worthy competitor in the Superbowl. If we can’t get a Atlanta-Philly NFC title game, I’m hoping it’s New Orleans. The matchup seems epic, and the Saints would have the experience to match New England on that grand a stage. Onto the rankings. 1) New England Patriots Please show me a Power Rankings with someone else in the top spot. Or better yet, make a case that isn’t completely laughable. Then I’ll entertain the notion of putting another team here. Until then, it’s there’s until they incur another loss, and there’s still no guarantee they’re…
