Money Where Your Mouth Is Week 5
This a weekly column that puts our expertise to the test, as we show a couple of the bets that we are placing on specific games, or prop bets offered by the many sports books and casinos. Of course we are a fantasy football advisory, but we also take pride in our pick’em pool strategies. Our goal is to help you win pools & money, but if you can’t afford to place bets…don’t!

Minnesota Vikings-10
NFL Betting can be an art form at times. Vegas spreads factor in a lot of different angles to a game, more than you could imagine. The going notion is that the Vikings might consider this game practice with the schedule having them face the Baltimore Ravens next week. Normally we’d steer clear of a 10 point road favorite off a big win, but the St. Louis Rams couldn’t beat a high school football team these days. The strength to the Rams is in Steven Jackson, and the Vikings hold one of the most stout run defenses in the league. I see this game moving along slowly, with a couple easy defensive scores that take control. There’s also some guy named Brett Favre on the Vikings who is playing good football and hates draining the clock. Easy Win, take the points.

Philadelphia Eagles-14.5
The Eagles have never lost off a bye week under the Andy Reid era. McNabb had to watch Kolb set a record as the first QB to throw 300 yards in his first two starts, and the Buccaneers are starting a quarterback that looks like an un-talented version of Mike Vick. This game should be a blood bath; Philly fans have been restless all week without their birds to cheer for and want to remind the league that the Eagles are contenders this year. The game plan for the Bucs will be to run the ball and give their rookie QB Josh Johnson a very limited offense. The Eagles are great against the

Money Where Your Mouth Is Week 16
This a weekly column that puts our expertise to the test, as we show a couple of the bets that we are placing on specific games, or prop bets offered by the many sports books and casinos. Of course
we are a sports betting advisory, so our goal is to help you win money, but if you can’t afford to place bets…don’t!
Safe Bets
New England -7.5
This game will be classic Bill Belichick coaching: run the ball, control the clock, and keep Warner and his weapons off the field. The cold weather will play into the Patriots game plan, with gusts of wind disrupting the timing between Kurt Warner and his receivers. The Cardinals have no running game and will look outmatched from the first snap. Take the Patriots to cover.
San Diego +4
The Chargers have no business being in the playoffs, but that doesn’t mean they’re not going to throw away this opportunity. The AFC West is so bad that a win in Tampa and help from the Buffalo Bills would give them a chance to steal the Division title away from Denver in week 17. Tampa Bay is banged up and look terrible on offense with Brian Griese. Jeff Garica is questionable, but he might be pushed into the starting role for such an important game. Nevertheless, the Chargers offense can move the ball, and they almost seem to play better in desperatation mode. I think this game will be close, but with 4 points in your pocket the Chargers will cover.

Philadelphia -5
The Eagles play great football in December and seem to be on a roll right now. Brian Westbrook is healthy, and the play calling is finally starting to make sense in a more balanced attack. Not to mention McNabb, who has been on fire since being benched against the Ravens. The Redskins are falling apart; after losing left tackle Jon Jansen, moving the ball has become very difficult. Snubbed pro bowl defensive end Trent Cole should have fun vs. Jansen’s replacement in a day filled with Eagles blitzes from every direction. Philly should have no problem
covering the spread.
Long Shot of the Week
Kansas City + 3.5
Kansas City is playing hard every week, and their record isn’t a fair representation of how close the Chiefs have been to winning some big games. The x-factor this week is the cold weather; Miami can try to prepare all they want, but saying it and doing it are two different things. This might be a field goal game, but with +3.5 we like the Chiefs in their last home game of the year.

This a weekly column that puts our expertise to the test, as we show a couple of the bets that we are placing on specific games, or prop bets offered by the many sports books and casinos. Of course we are a sports betting advisory, so our goal is to help you win money, but if you can’t afford to place bets…don’t.
Safe Bets
Chicago -6
The Bears have a favorable schedule to finish out their season. Starting this week, Chicago plays 3 home games in a row against the Jags, Packers, and Colts. With such a tight race in the NFC North, and the Williams boys from Minnesota on the verge of suspension, the Bears are very much in it. Chicago will get back on track this weekend facing a Jaguar team on a short week after playing terrible on Monday night. The Jags o-line is a joke, and the hungry Bears should feed on these shaky cats in the cold. Take the Bears to cover!!
Tennessee -13.5
Ken Dorsey is starting for the Browns this weekend on the road against a very smart defense. The Browns have played tough on defense in the last 2 weeks, but if Dorsey and the Browns offense can’t move the ball, this team will be gassed by the fourth quarter. Expect a close game to start, with a couple big runs to seal the deal in the fourth quarter. The Titans will cover!
Long Shot of the week
Philadelphia +7.5
Jim Johnson, the Eagles Defensive Coordinator, has had recurring nightmares about Plaxico Burress burning his defense for scores. Philadelphia loves to blitz, but every time they tried to get to the quarterback, Eli Manning would just go jump ball to Burress, who towers over most corners. With Plaxico out of this game Jim Johnson can focus on stopping the run, which was another headache in their first meeting. This is a long shot bet, but a good one as Philly has had more time to prepare for the Giants after playing the Thursday night game. McNabb must have forgot that he can run, because buying time last week was the most impressive part of the Eagles win. If Westbrook can play like he did last week, McNabb should be able to find his midget wide-outs. There’s more on the line for the Eagles this week; take the points, or for a big pay out go for the win.

New England -3.5
If you take a closer look at the Bills amazing start to the season, you might realize that winning their first 4 games wasn’t as impressive as it seemed. Any win in the NFL should not be thought of as being easy, but the Buffalo Bills got to play this years surprise bottom dwellers. The Seahawks and Jaguars are both struggling, and what some may have thought had been tough opponents early on now seem like pushovers. In fact, the only team with a decent record that the Bills have defeated was the Chargers off a bye week. The Patriots have had a different type of season, and were forced to regroup after the loss of Tom Brady. Figuring out what the back-ups are capable of in each game isn’t something most coaches want to try on the fly. Despite the Patriots close loss last week, I see these two teams going in different directions; the Bills PPG average is way down, while the Patriots are starting to build momentum. We like the Patriots at home to cover.
Kansas City +15.5
Get as many points as you can, because the Chiefs are not winning this game, but they will cover. The Chargers are legendary for overlooking games, and with a tough road game in Pittsburgh coming up, expect a sloppy start. The Kansas City Chiefs are surprisingly good at playing spoiler as Denver found out in week 4, and they even beat the Chargers last year. The Chiefs have changed their offensive style and can move the ball effectively. If Tyler Thigpen can look sharp against the Bucs, just think how easy it will be against the Chargers. This line is way off, the Chiefs will keep it close until they choke in the fourth quarter. Take the points!
Arizona -9
This is the worst Monday Night Football game scheduled to play all year. I don’t know who thought this would be a good game, but maybe a wager will make it more exciting. Nine points may seem like a lot, but the 49er’s have lost all hope, while the Cardinals want to show off on prime time. Take the Cards to cover.

Safe Bets
Green Bay Packers +5.5
The Packers are fresh off a bye and have had this game circled on their calendar for a few weeks now. The Titans are a great team, but they have played against some average offenses this season. Every team the Titans have faced so far have a points per game (PPG) average of 21 of less. This week they go up against the Packers, who are averaging 28 PPG. Could the Titans get into a shoot out type game? Yes, but with 5.5 points on your side, I think it’s a great wager.

Safe Bets
Tampa Bay to win no points
We made the mistake of betting with the Cowboys without Romo last week, thinking they would still be able to move the ball against the Rams. This week the Bucs are in Dallas, bringing with them a 2 game win streak in which their combined score was 47-13 with Garcia back under center. The Bucs look determined and even confident that they can keep the wins coming. There’s no doubt Brad Johnson wants to bounce back after his performance last week, but with the team a little out of sync look for Jon Gruden to strike early and often, as he knows what the ex-Buccaneer QB is capable of. Tampa without the points to win.

Safe Bets
New York Giants -10
Nobody wants to play better this weekend than Eli Manning. Expect a slow start to the game, but it should be over by the third quarter. The Giants defense will create turnovers, and might even take one back this week. A long road trip, with a rookie QB, in Giants stadium; expect a blood bath.

Safe Bets
Green Bay (no line)
Matt Hasselbeck may sit out on Sunday, which has thrown the spread to a pick ‘em instead of having the Seahawks favored by 2.5 or 3. It looks like the Seattle offense may have to go with Charlie Frye, their third stringer, as Seneca Wallace is also banged up. Expect a lot of carries to go to Julius Jones this week, along with big numbers from the Packers offense that lost a heart breaker at home last week to Atlanta. Take the Packers straight up!
New Orleans -7
The Saints are fuming mad after an embarrassing loss on Monday night to the Vikings. In what was a great back and forth game, the Saints handed themselves a loss caused by turnovers and bad calls. Expect the Saints to play angry and abuse the Raiders, especially with M. Colston coming back this week. Take the points, they’ll cover!
Chicago -2.5
The Atlanta Falcons are definitely a surprise to many this year; Matt Ryan is the first rookie QB I can remember that has been thrown into the fire and played this well in his first year. However, the Bears defense will introduce Ryan to a different type of team, as he has yet to face an aggressive, blitzing defense. I’m predicting two turnovers thanks to the young kid; take the Bears and the points.
Long Shot of the Week
Baltimore +4
This may seem crazy, but the Colts are not themselves this year; their defense is terrible, and with Baltimore’s run game expect a one two punch from McGahee and La’Ron McClain. The key for the Ravens is to grind it out with long drives that will keep Peyton on the sidelines. Take the points, as we predict a close game.

Of course we are a sports betting advisory, so our goal is to help you win money, but if you can’t afford to place bets…don’t.
Great Bets (Safe Bets)
Indianapolis -3.5
The Colts are coming off a bye and might feel a bit pressured, as they haven’t seen the AFC South Standings look this way in quite a while. The Titans have a comfortable lead at 4-0, and the Jaguars at 2-2 seem to be gathering speed. The only worry one might have with placing a bet this week on the Colts is that extra half point (3.5) Try to find a line at 3 if possible, although the Las Vegas line seems to be moving as more people are betting this way. I feel for the Houston Texans, the season hasn’t gone the way they had hoped. However, this team is stacked with amazing young talent, and the Texans could turn their season around if they get focused. Peyton Manning’s ego should have the Colts up by 10 at half time.
New England -3.5
Matt Cassel and Randy Moss spent time during the bye week going over plays, and they will connect for a TD in Frisco. The line is low due to the Patriots embarrassing loss to the Dolphins, but I think that the blowout loss will light a fire under this team’s ass.
Tampa Bay +3.5
The defense has been carrying Brian Griese, and he knows it. This could be a defensive battle; Jay Cutler will struggle against the Tampa 2 defense (just as we said A. Rodgers would last week), while B. Griese will make his signature bad throws. Overall it will be the Bucs running game that will win you this bet. Jon Gruden is going to give everybody a carry since the altitude will tire out the RB’s, so expect a huge rotation (fantasy tip).
Long Shot Bet of the Week
Atlanta +7.5
We had the Bills as our Long shot but injuries make the game too much of a coin flip for us. Instead we suggest betting on the Falcons as Aaron Rodger’s sore shoulder seems too banged up for big numbers on Sunday. With +7.5 points on your side and a strong running game we suggest taking Atlanta as the game will be close.
Record: Safe Bets: 8-4 Long Shots 3-3
(5-0 in week 2)
