We all saw this coming, it was just a matter of time.
On Tuesday, Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill confirmed that Lamar Miller will indeed be the teams starting running back moving forward. Miami Dolphins coach Joe Philbin recently described the running back competition as “wide open,” yet many close to the team saw Miller as the runaway leader.
For those who are unfamiliar of Lamar Miller’s breakaway speed and elusiveness, I included a video of his time with the Miami Hurricanes below.
“He’s doing a great job, really has a great handle on the offense and he’s doing a great job protecting,” Tannehill said.
Fantasy Factor: With Trent Richardson’s recent injury news, Jaguar’s Maurice Jones-Drew recovery and all the uncertainly of camp battles and offensive schemes entering training camp, I’m predicting Lamar Miller’s fantasy stock to sky rocket over the next few months. The Dolphins are a bit of a mystery with all the new additions they have added this season including Mike Wallace, yet their team has made enough strides to catch interest from the public eye. Miller has a solid offensive line in front of him and a season under his belt. His current ADP is 41.
