Picks vs. the Spread: 8-5

Overall :86-44 | ATS: 72-58

Fantasy Start’em Sit’em

Right on:check mark

  • Start Kurt Warner- Huge day with 5 TD passes! Warner played excellent on the road and bounced back after a bad week.
  • Start Rashard Mendenhall against the Broncos on Monday Night. Looked bad but turned out great! Mendenhall is gathering speed and is becoming a weekly starter regardless of who the Steelers are facing.
  • Bench Joe Flacco- 195 passing yards and 2 INT’s, (we need to get our fantasy guy to talk to our pick’em guy, because we took the Ravens?).
  • Start Matt Hasselbeck- 329 yards and a touchdown is a solid day for a back up player to come off your fantasy bench.
  • Start Joseph Addai against the Texans. Addai was a multi threat with 63 rushing yards, 5 rec for 49 yards, and 2 touchdowns.
  • Great day for starting Steve Smith (NYG)- 57 yards and a TD. Soon we won’t have to add the team next to the name as Steve Smith (from the Giants) is winning the name game.
  • Start Kevin Walter as a sleeper- 5 Rec 67 yards.
  • Bench Steve Slaton- even a pity touchdown can’t make 17 yards look good.

Whoops:CheckMarkX

  • Start Vince Young- 172 passing yards and a touchdown. Not great, but even as a bye week replacement he should have done a little more. Beating a tough team on the road means nothing in fantasy football.
  • Start Jonathan Stewart against the Saints- Was not his day.
  • [adrotate group="18"]
  • Start DeSean Jackson despite what ESPN was saying. Karma? No, bad luck, we were surprised no Wildcat or WR end around plays were called to help get the birds fastest player the ball.
  • Start Fred Davis- nobody can do anything on offense in Washington.

On the Fence

  • Start TE John Carlson- 6 rec 42 yards is not great, but it’s something.
  • Bench Marion Barber- 50 yards rushing and 20 receiving.
