Outplay Formula Week 6
Outplay Formula Week 6
Week 5 Outplay was quite impressive! To start the Outplay Formula predicted 5 out 6 games against the spread! That’s pretty good for a program that was still in beta mode as it usually needs at least 5 full weeks of data to create realistic averages.
The Outplay predicted:
- The Bengals would win +3
- The Bills would beat the Eagles +3
- The Packers would cover 6 points
- And the Lions would cover 6 points
- The One prediction it got wrong was the Broncos + 4 against the Chargers, but that game was very close.
As for Fantasy Predictions
- Must Start Fred Jackson
- Start Mark Ingram & D.Sproles
- And Sit Ahmad Bradshaw
There weren’t many fantasy predictions as like I had said above the Outplay was still in it’s beta mode with not enough stats, this week I will dig deeper.
**So how does the outplay formula work? Well after now a couple weeks of explaining it, I have now broken it down in this PDF file To learn how to read the Outplay click here

Picks and Predictions
***Please note the Outplay is a helpful guide, obvious Fantasy starts and sits should not be overlooked***
- Everyone knows the Packers game is a fantasy jackpot for Packer players, but with the Rams rushing defense as back as it gets, Ryan Grant and/or James Starks could be great starts this week. The Rams are allowing 180 rushing yards per game, 56.7 more than than they should.
- The Eagles have a -10 turnover ratio, not a bad week to start the Redskins defense.
- Much like last weeks prediction for Ahmed Bradshaw, the Giants Rushing offense is struggling and may continue this week. Interesting enough though, the Bills are allowing 5.5 rushing yards a carry, that stat may be a little skewed after just facing Mike Vick.
- The Raiders should pound the rock as usual, although strangely enough the Browns have only allowed one rushing TD.
- The Buccaneers are ripe for the picking, expect large numbers from Brees (as usually) but you may want to bump some of his targets up in the rankings. Tampa is allowing 255 passing yards per game and are being outplayed by 41.2 yards threw the air, meaning they are allowing more yards to QB’s than what their opponents average.
- The Cowboys have a surprisingly good rushing defense, may want to re-think the BenJarvus Green-Ellis start. Dallas has only allowed one rushing TD and are outplaying their opponents on the ground by 44 yards. -not bad
- The Viking Stats still do not come to life in fantasy reality. McNabb had the green light last week for a big day against the Cardinals Defense but was unable to really take advantage of it. Mind you, the Vikings had such a huge lead early on, their was no need to throw. This week We should see a heavy dose of Adrian Peterson with the Bears allowing 5.7 yards per carry and are getting outplayed on the ground by 30.5 yards
- Texans in tough. Nothing really pops out here to me for the Houston-wounded, common sense tells us that a Matt Schuab without Andres Johnson facing a freshly rest Ravens defense is not a great start. No stats can make this game look fantasy appealing.
- Matt Moore may be able to somewhat impress in his first debut. The stats are showing that the Jets defense is not playing up to normal standards and the yards are their if Moore can get the job done. The Jets are allowing 24.6 points per game, and have a shocking pass defense that has allowed 251 passing yards per game, 41.9 of which is yards that opponents have been able to outplay.
