NFL Wild-Card Preview: Ravens vs. Chiefs

Baltimore Ravens -3 at Kansas City Chiefs
One could argue that the Ravens are the underdog this weekend, and are more likely to sputter out on offense. With expectations extremely high, the sometimes flat Baltimore offense needs to be in sync this Sunday. Joe Flacco’s highest passing day this season was 301 yards against the dreadful Panthers in week 11. The offense ranked high in many categories, yet the numbers looked very vanilla considering the club went out of their way to load up the receiver department. Kansas City has great speed and talent, yet didn’t quite captivate the nation despite the excellent season. Every game this year was for the most part hidden from prime time and with the number 1 rushing offense, we might have an upset in the making.
Flacco and the Ravens went into Foxborough last year to take care of the Patriots, so road games aren’t such a big deal. Still, Kansas City use to be one of the toughest places to play in the NFL, and the fans are ecstatic they get to see a post-season game. Should be a good one!

**The latest Baltimore Ravens news, doesn’t really have anything to do with the team, but does make or an interesting headline: Brian Reed, the 29-year-old brother of Ravens safety Ed Reed, is missing after jumping into the Mississippi River to avoid police in St. Charles, Louisiana. I’m not sure how close Ed Reed is with his brother, but this might be a distraction
