NFL Wild-Card Preview: Jets vs. Colts

New York Jets at Indianapolis Colts-2.5

Jets-Colts, a rematch neither team is really looking forward to. Sure the Jets are jacked up, and Rex Ryan has said “Things are Personal” this time round, but in front of a hostile Indianapolis crowd and against the high powered Peyton Manning? This will be no easy task. The Colts on the other hand, were able to overthrow the Jets last year in the AFC Championship showdown, but revenge is a form of motivation that is hard discourage.
The game plan for the Colts will be (as always): start quick, take control and force the Jets out of their running game. QB Mark Sanchez has made leaps and bounds in his 2nd year with not only the knowledge of the offense, but as a leader amongst the team. The Colts will do everything possible to attack him early and rattle him on the road.
This game will come down to the better defense, and when I say that, I’m factoring in the Colts have the better offense. Whether it’s the Jets keeping Peyton Manning at bay, or the Colts doing just enough, this game should be a close hard fought battle that will come down the wire.
