Money Where Your Mouth Is Week 14

This a weekly column that puts our expertise to the test, as we show a couple of the bets that we are placing on specific games, or prop bets offered by the many sports books and casinos. Of course we are a sports betting advisory, so our goal is to help you win money, but if you can’t afford to place bets…don’t.

Safe Bets

Chicago -6
The Bears have a favorable schedule to finish out their season. Starting this week, Chicago plays 3 home games in a row against the Jags, Packers, and Colts. With such a tight race in the NFC North, and the Williams boys from Minnesota on the verge of suspension, the Bears are very much in it. Chicago will get back on track this weekend facing a Jaguar team on a short week after playing terrible on Monday night. The Jags o-line is a joke, and the hungry Bears should feed on these shaky cats in the cold. Take the Bears to cover!!

Tennessee -13.5
Ken Dorsey is starting for the Browns this weekend on the road against a very smart defense. The Browns have played tough on defense in the last 2 weeks, but if Dorsey and the Browns offense can’t move the ball, this team will be gassed by the fourth quarter. Expect a close game to start, with a couple big runs to seal the deal in the fourth quarter. The Titans will cover!

Long Shot of the week

Philadelphia +7.5
Jim Johnson, the Eagles Defensive Coordinator, has had recurring nightmares about Plaxico Burress burning his defense for scores. Philadelphia loves to blitz, but every time they tried to get to the quarterback, Eli Manning would just go jump ball to Burress, who towers over most corners. With Plaxico out of this game Jim Johnson can focus on stopping the run, which was another headache in their first meeting. This is a long shot bet, but a good one as Philly has had more time to prepare for the Giants after playing the Thursday night game. McNabb must have forgot that he can run, because buying time last week was the most impressive part of the Eagles win. If Westbrook can play like he did last week, McNabb should be able to find his midget wide-outs. There’s more on the line for the Eagles this week; take the points, or for a big pay out go for the win.

Season to Date

SAFE BETS: 20-12

LONG SHOTS: 7-4
