Money Where Your Mouth Is Playoff Edition
Money Where Your Mouth Is Playoff Edition part 2
This a column that puts our expertise to the test, as we show a couple of the bets that we are placing on specific games, or prop bets offered by the many sports books and casinos. Of course we are a fantasy football advisory, but we also take pride in our pick’em pool strategies. Our goal is to help you win pools & money, but if you can’t afford to place bets…don’t!
Last week we nailed all three picks going 3-0! We took the Jets and Vikings with the points, and the Over in the Saints Cardinals game = easy money, we should be in the Betus Review
I don’t want to take anything away from the Jets or their fans, but this game is going to get ugly. The Colts are not about to choke like the Bengals and Chargers under pressure. Peyton Manning is too good of a quarterback to worry about a hot DB, no matter how great he’s playing. Manning is probably one of the leagues smartest coordinators too, having him look over defensive schemes is just as good as any coach on the sidelines throughout the game. The over is going to be tight, we see a close first half opened up by a small lead by the Colts that will force Sanchez to make mistakes. The patience by the Jets on offense is almost Zen-like, waiting and punting, playing the field position game until their defense can make a strike, but this week will be different. Manning will expose the Jets for a big play, which will force the Jets to play from behind. At that point Freeney & Mathis lick their lips with the chance to put pressure on a rookie QB. The Colts will put it away in the fourth quarter and the score will be over 40.
Minnesota Vikings +3.5
While you may think we are big on the Vikings, it’s the 3.5 that really catches our eye. That .5 is the difference in winning and losing this bet. A field goal game is very likely, and having a small edge along with the veteran quarterback is good enough in our eyes. This game should be the best game of the NFL playoffs thus far. Each team is stacked with talent and experience, with good coaching staff to ensure a tight chess match. Those who are Saints fans are probably not liking this pick, but you need to realize that even a Saints field goal win is not a winning bet. Be careful if you think a blowout is in the making. Favre never dies! He is this terminator that wrecks point spreads with his 4th quarter comebacks; a betting man would never go against that. Take the Vikings and the points at 3.5
Last weeks picks 3-0
