Migraine Free Percy Harvin Likes Burress
Migraine Free Percy Harvin
Percy Harvin has been talking to the press about the recurring migraines he was having. It seems that the doctors located a problem in his neck; after having the neck problem fixed his headaches have gotten better, much better. Harvin has gone five or six months now without his dreaded migraines, which is great news for fantasy owners. He believes it was the problem with his neck along with the need for a proper diet and exercise.
It has been proven that certain foods can trigger migraines. Chocolate and dairy are just a couple types of foods that can induce these symptoms. As long as Percy is careful about what he eats he could remain migraine free. This would free him up for more football practices and will allow him to see more of the field. Although, as an NFL athlete you’d think a healthy diet would be obvious. Personally, I was never sold on his recurring migraines and rolled my eyes at any of these reports, feeling that there must have been something else going on. Regardless, he says he is fine now, and that is a major relief for Vikings fans.
Being a humble receiver for the Minnesota Vikings who played alongside the great Randy Moss, Harvin has now said he would like to see Plaxico Burress join the team. Burress has playoff experience and has played on some prestigious teams in his career, including the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Giants. Plaxico’s knowledge and ability would help push the players around him, including Harvin, who plays so much better as a 2nd receiver. Harvin thrived when Favre fixated on Sidney Rice. Defenses had to double cover the top Viking wide-out, which freed up the speedy Percy Harvin for passes underneath or in mismatch situations. Plaxico would fit nicely into the role of Sidney Rice if he was to join the team. Of course, what makes the most sense is not letting go of Sidney Rice, but many predict that Rice is going to ask for a large pay increase this year and odds are he will be let go. The void would cause a ripple effect that would hurt everyone from Harvin right down to the newest quarterback, like rookie Christian Ponder.
Rumors have it that Burress is thinking about the New York Jets. There are several teams that are looking at Plaxico to become a member of their receiving corps, but the lure back to New York makes the most sense.
On a side note: Plaxico served the same amount of jail time as Michael Vick. Vick went to jail for gambling, dog fighting and killing dogs. Did Burress get too long of a sentence, or did Vick not get enough? Either way, the success that Vick had in returning to the NFL has paved the way for jailbird NFL stars. In your opinion is this a good thing?
