Seahawks Stop The Earth From Spinning

This game could be in the running for most entertaining game of the year. The lead changes and high scoring highlight-reel footage should be the talk of the week, especially at any Starbucks in Seattle. Fantasy owners saw many top players get the axe today, sorry for the no-follow up on injured Jimmy Graham, a Start’em choice this week. Although, It wouldn’t have matter as nobody living outside of Seattle picked Hasselbeck for 4 scores and advancing past the Saints. I bet even Hasselbeck’s Mom had money on the “The Big Easy” to cover.

Marshawn Lynch sold about a thousand #24 Seahawk jerseys with this explosive run. All that was missing from Lynch’s “Matrix” scramble was a hug from Morpheus in the end zone. The highlighted Saints missed-tackles don’t do this amazing run justice.

The Hawks will be watching the Packers/Eagles game tomorrow to see where they’re heading next. My guess is their hoping for a flu epidemic to hit Chicago or Atlanta. Magic tricks are lame and stupid after you seen them more than once. I mean…. good job Seahawks.

If the Eagles win, Seattle will play the Falcons.
If the Packers win, Seattle will play the Bears.

Jets Soar When It Counts The Most

I’m curious to what was said at half time in the NY Jets locker room.  The running game had more life in the second half, as did Mark Sanchez. After a Colts stupid running-into-the-punter penalty, the game looked as good as over, but  a 3 and out gave Peyton Manning time to lead a classic drive down the field to set up a 50 yard Vinatieri FG. The problem for Colts fans was, there was too much time still left on the clock. With a excellent kick-return and a few perfect passes the Jets were able to sneak out with a impressive post-season victory.

The NFL, with all it’s talent and timeless scheming is really quite amazing. The Seahawks proved that “Any Given Sunday” works on Saturday, while the Jets showed that home field advantage isn’t that big a deal. The Saints and Colts may have came first in their respected conferences last year, but this year, their only firsts come with being able to make post-playoff vacation plans.
