Hilarious Super Bowl Bets

Las Vegas and Sportsbooks dig deep for the Super Bowl. It’s the biggest sporting event of the year, and millions upon millions of people get together to not only watch the game, but bet on it.

Most people can barely wrap their brains around the spread, but prop bets are as easy as a bold statement spouted by your buddy on the couch that ends in someone saying “you wanna bet?”  Things like “Colston is going to rack up at least 100 yards on the Colts”, or “Peyton Manning is going to throw for 5 touchdowns on Sunday”.

While these are very likely statements or prop bets, Sportsmakers and Vegas bookies have to prepare for everything that could happen on Super Bowl Sunday…so they did.

Probably the most ridiculous bet you can place is on the coin toss. Yes, the coin toss at the start of the game…you can bet on it. Every year I hear someone in the bar yell out what they want it to be, as flashes of National Lampoons Vegas Vacation pops into my head where Chevy Chase is playing rock-paper-scissors, or pick a number for a pay out-”Rock pays”

If you are one of these coin flip people (you know who you are) please bet on a spin of the roulette wheel instead, that at least takes 20-30 seconds before you know you’re a loser. Either way, here are some real Hilarious Super Bowl Bets that you can place:

• Peyton Manning Total Passing Yards: 0-100 yards pays 35 to 1. -Sounds great if you have never watched a single football game in your life. I guess bookies figure that they can create stupid bets for stupid people.
• Peyton Manning Total Completions: “Zero” pays 100 to 1. Even if Peyton got hurt on the first play of the game, you know they’d find a wheelchair for number 18 to play in. That would give the term “Peyton rolls out of the pocket” a whole new meaning. Or maybe Manning would sit on the shoulders of a fullback while throwing rocket balls, like a modern version of Mad Max’s masterblaster.
• Drew Brees Total Passing Yards: Over 500 yards pays 25 to 1 – We get trash comments from time to time about how someone knows everything and thinks our picks are stupid, these are probably the type of people who think this bet is possible. Sure it could happen, Drew Brees is the man, but no one in their right mind would bet on it. 500 yards? -lol
• Thomas Morstead Longest Punt: Over/Under 51.5 yards – This bet isn’t as funny as it would be to hear that someone actually placed a bet on it. Punting the ball is a sign for me to get up and get another beer or take a leak, not when to start freaking out.
• How Many Yards Will The First Touchdown Be: 96+ yard touchdown play pays 9 to 1 – WTF? Only 9 to 1? Wasn’t last years interception that was returned 100+ yards the most unbelievable thing you ever saw? Why would anyone think it would happen again at only 9 to 1?
