Gridiron Experts Week 8 Picks

Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys -9.5

The Cowboys are all or nothing on offense this season. Tony Romo is either throwing highlight reel touchdown passes or making the blooper reel for interceptions that bounce off random body parts and go for 6 points. The fantasy players that we’re used to seeing do well are struggling, while guys like Miles Austin are causing fist fights on waiver wires. The Seahawks are plagued with injuries once again, forcing key players like Hasselbeck to do everything. The Seahawks are off their bye week, but are just no match for Dallas on the road. Expect a tight game early on with a couple big plays to seal the deal in the fourth quarter. Cowboys 30-17

Miami Dolphins at New York Jets -3

The Wildcat looks awful when run by a team not sporting the light blue and orange. Nobody does it better than the Dolphins with this new running weapon, and while the Jets have already seen it once, it doesn’t give them any more of an edge. Ronnie Brown could tell the Linebackers where he’s going before the play, and the blocking would still make it a success. We like the Dolphins on the road in a close game. Miami 20-17

Denver Broncos at Baltimore Ravens -3

Both the Broncos and the Ravens are coming off a bye week together, but both teams feel very different about the way the first half of the season went down. The Ravens were only a couple plays away from beating the Patriots and Vikings and have to feel very frustrated, while the Broncos have earned all their wins but have had lucky bounces to help in close games. If the Ravens can stop shooting themselves in the foot they will win this game at home. Baltimore 30-26
