The Lions are playing ten times better football than last year, but they still stink. The Packers are off a bye week but rest can’t perform magic on a poor offensive line. Sure it can help, but a lack of protection has been a problem for the Packers all year. Aaron Rodgers is an excellent quarterback and given the time in the pocket he can make any throw. This Lions team would be stupid not to blitz on every passing down in hope of exposing one of the Packers weak spots. But with a week off the coaching staff will be more realistic with their play calling, adding more quick slants and screens to the Packers rolodex of plays. The Packers are a talented team but have looked sloppy thus far, the nuts and bolts should be tightened this week. PACKERS 27-20

NY Giants at New Orleans-3.5

Both teams are very similar in stats, but unique in style. The Giants and Saints are not only controlling games with their powerful offenses, they’re creating turnovers from pressure from their defenses. The G-Men like to pound the rock and make quick passes to their speedy receivers, while the Saints fire away from the shotgun and surprise you with the run. This is easily the most anticipated game of the day. The Giants are the better team in my opinion, but the week off for the Saints and injuries to the Giants will allow New Orleans to squeak one out.
