Favre To Stay Retired

Minnesota’s quarterback options are now Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels? Viking fans might now start cheering for Mike Vick. These two veteran QB’s, who were expected to compete for the job before the Favre drama began for a second straight year, are now back in the spotlight. Damage control might be needed as Jackson and Rosenfels probably feel like the ugly friends on the team who missed out on the hot date for prom.

I have to admit this time I thought he was coming back, but it turns out Favre told Childress he didn’t believe he had enough in him to get through a full season, as was the case last year for the Jets. Although I had figured that by playing for the Vikings, who are a run first team, Favre’s workload could be stretched over 16+ games. Oh well, there’s always Wrangler commercials to be made.
