Fantasy Sleepers For Week 11
Fantasy Sleepers For Week 11
Justin Forsett, RB Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks are a huge underdog in the sportsbook this week, and not many of their offensive parts will have much value against a suffocating Vikings defense. Even so, one player that is worth adding to the roster is running back Justin Forsett. After Julius Jones was injured last week against the Cardinals, Forsett rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on just 17 carries.
Jones has been a free agent bust in Seattle and there is pretty much no reason for him to be holding onto the job anymore. Forsett is a young player who is getting better while Jones is a free agent to be at the end of the season. With that in mind, pick up Forsett and use him in the coming weeks.
The Seahawks did not turn out to be the team that everyone thought they could be but their offense is still good enough to score points regularly. The passing game is functional with Matt Hasselbeck and T.J. Houshmanzadeh, which means Forsett will rarely be the focus of the defensive attention.
Torry Holt, WR
Jacksonville Jaguars
Torry Holt was listed high among fantasy picks as a sleeper at the beginning of the year, but he has been a different looking player as a Jacksonville Jaguars receiver. Mike Sims-Walker has been fantastic, but look for Holt to have a nice game against the Bills.
Buffalo’s defense has been pathetic in recent weeks and they will give up yards and points by the bunch. Holt has yet to find the end zone this year and while most sports picks won’t expect him to this week, he has a good match-up against the Bills secondary and he has played better at home than on the road this year.
New Orleans Saints Defense
If the New Orleans Saints defense is available on your waiver-wire, don’t hesitate to give them a go this weekend. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been confident on offense over the last two weeks but as the NFL odds indicate, they won’t be in the game on Sunday.
The Bucs have been within arm’s reach of both the Green Bay Packers and Miami Dolphins in the last two games, which has meant that they can stick to their game plan and run the ball to keep pressure off of young quarterback Josh Freeman. But at the same time, if the Saints get ahead by 10 or 14 points early, the Bucs won’t be able to be conservative and should be baited into some mistakes.
