Fantasy Player Rankings: Week 3 RB
Week 3 Running Back Fantasy Player Rankings
- Adrian Peterson vs. DET- All Day has had a ton of success in the Metrodome against the Lions. Look for that trend to continue
- Ray Rice vs STL- Rice is a dual threat out of the backfield and the Rams defense gave up well over 100 rushing yards to the Giants on Monday
- LeSean McCoy vs. NYG- The Eagles may call a few more run plays for McCoy in order to keep Vick from absorbing any more blows.
- Chris Johnson vs. DEN- CJ2K doubled his output from Week 1 to 2. Look for that trend to continue this week when Johnson hits the century mark for the first time
- Rashard Mendenhall @IND - On paper this is as good a match-up as Mendenhall can get, but the Steelers’ O-Line is struggling to open up consistent lanes
- Maurice Jones-Drew @CAR- MJD has looked healthy and impressive early, and now faces a favorable match-up against a weak Panthers defense
- Darren McFadden vs. NYJ- McFadden has looked good in each of Oakland’s first two games but faces a tough match-up here. He could be busier than usual as a pass catcher his week.
- Michael Turner @TB- Tampa’s defense has not looked good in the first two weeks and Turner will be in good position to score some short yardage TDs
- Ben Tate @NOR- Houston is likely to make the running game their focal point as they try to keep the ball out of Drews Brees’ hands. Tate is clearly healthier than Foster and will be lead back
- Peyton Hillis vs. MIA- Miami’s defense has looked awful and has given up touchdowns to runners in each game. Hillis is another dual threat receiver and runner
- Chris “Beanie” Wells @SEA- Wells is a rare full time back. He’s averaging 5.7 YPC and has scored in each of the Cardinals first two games
- Ryan Mathews vs. KC- Mathews is flashing some big play potential and has more than double the YPC numbers that Mike Tolbert has and more receiving yards
- Matt Forte vs. GB- Forte is a solid all around back, but could struggle with the loss of Gabe Carimi and return of Marion Barber to potentially steal short yardage carries
- Jahvid Best @MIN- The Vikings defense isn’t what it use to be.
- Frank Gore @CIN- Gore is struggling to find running room, but will continue to get carries against a team that gave up over 100 yards and a touchdown to Willis McGahee last week
- Ahmad Bradshaw
