Fantasy Football: Waiver WatchCowgirls

Not a lot to choose from after only one week of action, but here are a few notes to go along with guys floating on the waiver wire:

  • Mario Manningham - WR, New York Giants
The Giants started in a two-receiver, two-tight end set in Sunday’s opener, with Mario Manningham at flanker and Domenik Hixon at split end. Manningham had 3 Rec for 58 yards and a TD.
  • Kevin Faulk - RB, New England Patriots
Kevin Faulk led the Patriots’ running backs in snaps Monday night with 42. Average numbers, but he did have a lot of check down catches. 6 rec 51 yrds.
  • Rashad Jennings – RB, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jaguars rookie tailback Rashad Jennings was active for Week 1, but didn’t play a single snap. Maybe a steal now before anybody sees an injury coming.
  • Carnell Williams - RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Cadillac Williams ran for 97 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries in the Bucs Week 1 loss to the Cowboys. Back from the dead, someone may have snatched up Cadillac in a late sleeper pick…but you never know, he may be on your waiver wire.
  • Benjamin Watson - TE, New England Patriots
Ben Watson caught six passes for 77 yards and two scores in Monday night’s win. We heard Watson was close to being cut? Who knew.
  • Jeff Garcia – QB, Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles signed QB Jeff Garcia, formerly of the Raiders. If you’re weak at QB ( which you shouldn’t be after wk 1) or don’t like your match-ups, there is a chance that Garcia could get the start, as Kolb is garbage.

  • Kenny Britt – WR, Tennessee Titans
Titans rookie WR Kenny Britt made a good impression on coach Jeff Fisher with his Week 1 performance as a fill-in for Nate Washington. There’s a good chance someone drafted Britt, being the new rookie for the Titans, but in smaller leagues he may availabl
  • Mike Bell - RB, New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Times-Picayune suggests that Mike Bell could remain “the man” in the Saints backfield even when Pierre Thomas (knee) returns. Worth grabbing!
  • Robert Meachem – WR, New Orleans Saints
Meachem caught two passes for 51 yards and a touchdown against the Lions in Week 1.
  • Shawn Nelson – TE, Buffalo Bills
    [adrotate group="18"]

The Bills think they found a steal in fourth-round TE Shawn Nelson. A big reach as a waiver pick, but the Bills offense looked good; S.Nelson 2 rec 13 yards 1TD

  • Pierre Garcon – WR, Indianapolis Colts
Colts receiver Pierre Garcon has just two catches on seven preseason targets. may step up and become a good receiver may waste space on your bench, grab him and watch him MNF
