Deuce Cut Loose!

The New Orleans Saints released Deuce McAllister on Tuesday. While this may be a shock to many, Saints fans saw this move coming for some time now. The 30 year old Running Back was set to earn 5. 3 million  in salary and bonuses in 2009. With Reggie Bush growing more into an every down RB, there was little room for McAllister this season. Pierre Thomas will now take over as the number two, although the role is nothing new for a very underratted (undrafted) RB that has filled in over the last year. Many fans will miss Deuce McAllister, who is the Saints all-time rushing leader. To hear McAllister’s press conference click here

Injuries have been a major factor for number 26 in the last couple seasons, questions of retirement are no doubt on his mind.
