The Philadelphia Eagles traded Pro-Bowl corner-back Asante Samuel to Atlanta Falcons for a late-round pick Wednesday, but not after restructuring his contract. Samuel, a 31 year old veteran, agreed to a three-year $18.5 million deal with Atlanta. The Eagles deal would have cost them $9.9 million this season and $11.4 million in 2013, meaning this trade purely based around money.
