So, when new Bears GM Phil Emery made a play to establish his new found authority by going out and getting pro-bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall from the Miami Dolphins, it looked as if the Bears would be getting a number one wide receiver as well as uniting Marshall with former Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler. It was a match made in heaven, but now the deal appears to be one-sided for Chicago as bad-boy Brandon is up to his usual antics again and is on the verge of a possible suspension. The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with free agent running back Michael Bush on a four year $14 million contract. Bush was considered one of the top available talents out of the backfield after a career best year 977 rushing yards and eight total touchdowns with the Raiders. In Oakland, Bush split time with the more explosive Darren McFadden, acting in a change-of-pace role and as the inside power runner. Bush has been a solid short-yardage runner and threat around the goal-line. That role will likely stay the same in Chicago. Bush will play the “thunder” role to Matt Forte‘s “lightning”.
