Larry Johnson Is A Redskin
Free-agent Running Back Larry Johnson has agreed to a three-year contract worth up to $12 million with the Washington Redskins on Friday. LJ was once a fantasy stud that keeper owners protected in steal box, today he is a guy that is looked at as a back up fantasy bench warmer.
Although Larry Johnson has a similar story to recent comeback Bengal starter Cedric Benson. After a terrible couple years in Chicago and off-field problems, Benson got a second chance in Cincinnati. Larry Johnson despite being a joke last year has not had a ton of carries for a 30 year old 8 year NFL RB, and could be somewhat of a late round sleeper in 2010. LJ has always had a good running per carry average and with the Redskins looking to possible part ways with Clinton Portis or at least reduce his carries, Larry Johnson has a small window to reignite his career.

History Says No To Repeat Of 2000 Yard Rusher.
Last season Chris Johnson became a fantasy owner’s best friend with his quest for a 2000 yard rushing season. Not only did he accomplish this goal, but he also set the mark for total yards from scrimmage. Johnson is already proclaiming that he will be in hot pursuit of a back to back 2000 yard rushing campaign. Unfortunately, for Johnson history does not show an overly positive outcome the following year for backs coming off of a 2000 yard season. Below is a listing of all six men who have achieved a 2000 rushing season along with the yards per carry for that season.

The numbers displayed above are undoubtedly very impressive. Each player went over five yards per carry in their 2000 yard season. Most of these players even got close to or even up to the six yards per carry average. It is easy to understand that these
5 Underrated Free Agents Worthy Of Respect
The free agent market hits us like a tidal wave of possibilities. Fans are eagerly waiting and wondering how their team is going to make an upgrade quickly, while others want to know the affects it will have on fantasy football. The following is a quick list of players I think are flying under the radar who could have a huge year with a change of scenery.
#5 WR Antonio Bryant
Bryant had an amazing season in 2008, racking up 1,248 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns, but was franchise tagged last year to play on a team he wanted out of. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were desperate to keep this unhappy wide receiver around for another year, but now they are letting him loose. Before playing two seasons in Tampa, Bryant bounced around the league, playing in Cleveland and in San Fransisco after the three seasons in Dallas in which he was drafted from.
At 28, this receiver is a lot more in tune with what he wants and where he thinks could be the best possible destination for his skills. Bryant still has a few more good years left in him, and a team looking to add an instant starter could land themselves a great wide receiver weapon.
4) DE Aaron Kampman
I am not Kampman’s doctor, but if the light is green, teams would be stupid not to gamble on this sack monster. Aaron suffered a knee injury earlier in the year, forcing him to miss time and play somewhat average football for the Packers. If you look at the three previous years in

Westbrook’s Sour Grapes
You could say that Brian Westbrook’s release this week has left him with a bad taste in his mouth. Today the ex-Philadelphia Eagle running back told The Waddle & Silvy Show on ESPN 1000 in Chicago that he wouldn’t be surprised to see Donovan McNabb traded or released soon.
“It wouldn’t shock me at all if he got traded or released,”
“I know that he is very unappreciated in Philadelphia. . . . He’s definitely unappreciated for the things that he does and the things that he brings to Philadelphia.” Westbrook said
Westbrook obviously wants to say; that he feels unappreciated for all the things done in Philadelphia, but has for some reason involved the Eagles QB. McNabb always seems to be used as the microphone for the media in that city, fans and players. People don’t say: “what a ugly day out today” they say “McNabb said it was suppose to be sunny”
Brian Westbrook had also mentioned he was surprised that the team didn’t want to just re-do his contract, hinting that he would have taken less money to remain apart of the team.
We have been waiting to use this picture for a while… Brain’s comments sound very much like something some old guy would say.
Eat it 36, karma from the fantasy football year you kneeled on the 2 yardline and costed me a championship

2010 Fantasy Potential of Knowshon Moreno
After a solid rookie campaign in which Knowshown Moreno put up fairly solid starters numbers, the second year back’s fantasy potential in 2010 is a positive one for 2010 owners. Moreno finished the 2009 season with 247 carries for 947 rushing yards and 7 rushing touchdowns. On top of these rushing statistics he also added 28 receptions for 213 yards and 2 touchdowns. In summation that would be an overall 275 touches for 1160 total yards and 9 touchdowns.
Now that the learning curve associated with his rookie season is over, Moreno can concentrate on learning more of the details related to playing at the professional level. With a better knowledge of the playbook, more time with the coaching staff, and more time studying film, Moreno could blossom into a solid back for the Bronco’s.
Many experts thought the Bronco’s selection of Moreno with their top pick in the first round of the 2009 draft may not have been the best direction for the team. However, Moreno must have undoubtedly been targeted by Denver and/or was the best player on the board at the time of Denver’s selection. In the upcoming season Moreno has the ability and the skills to prove that some

New England Patriots Lack of a Stud Running Back
It’s no news to football fans, but it’s something that’s worthy of pointing out. The New England Patriots are one of the very few teams in the NFL to not have a “star” running back. They may have taken a shot at one in the past few years with the drafting of Laurence Maroney, but he’s yet to evolve into what most would consider a “star”. Instead the Pats have opted to go with a carousel of talented running backs over the years which have proven them to be very successful, but is that trend finally coming to an end for the Patriots. Do the Pats finally need to break their own mold and get a star RB to back up Tom Brady?
The Patriots have been a model franchise since the 2001 season when Drew Bledsoe went down, paving the way for Tom Brady. Ever since then they have won three Super Bowls, and the most high profile RB on the team throughout that time has been Corey Dillon, who barely has a profile at all. So is it finally time for someone with a little bit of weight to their name to take-up the RB position?
Not at all, the Pats are who they are because of their aerial attack. Tom Brady is the focal point of this team for any defense, which allows sub-par running backs like Benjarvus-Green-Ellis (the law firm) to shine because of the concern the defense has for Brady. Laurence Maroney is talented when called upon and can get the job done well enough. And of course, we can’t forget about Kevin Faulk (Mr.Clutch). Every time Faulk catches or runs the ball it’s on third down, and always goes for a first!
In finality, no, the Patriots do not need a top tier running back to succeed in the coming years. The downfall of this team at the current time has nothing to do with their offense; it has to be their defense. A feared unit that once
