Brady Quinn Traded To The Broncos
The signing of Jake Delhomme has forced Brady Quinn out. On Sunday Quinn was traded to the Denver Broncos for fullback Peyton Hillis, a 2011 sixth-round draft pick and a conditional 2012 draft pick . Assuming Hillis and Quinn pass their physicals, the trade is a done deal.
“I appreciate everything Brady did for us last year and in his three seasons with the Cleveland Browns,” Eric Mangini said. “He is professional in the way he goes about doing his job and worked extremely hard at every aspect of his game. I wish him the best of success in Denver.”
This is a great trade for Denver, Brady Quinn hasn’t had a chance to really prove himself in the NFL yet and Denver really gave up nothing to get him.
[other trades]
- Cleveland is cleaning house: Brady Quinn was a former 1st round pick and so was Kamerion Wimbley, who is now on his way to Oakland. The former Florida State OLB was the 13th overall pick in 2006 and in his rookie season he had 11 sacks, but has had only average numbers since his rookie season.
- Shawn Hill traded to the Detroit Lions: The 49ers sent Hill to the Lions for a seventh-round draft pick in 2011 (which is around the 200th pick in this years NFL draft)
